In the Land of Giants[]
By the time the group meet Alphonse again, he has been captured by the tiny humans inhabiting the Land of Giants, and used as a battle mule, strapped with knives and spears. After attacking Destiny's Children on the tiny humans' orders, he attempts to roll his rider off. However, he fails twice, alerting the other tiny humans of his betrayal and causing them to attack him. As they crowd around him, Pinocchio orders Cricket to launch a firework at the group, including Alphonse. Everyone around Alphonse immediately dies, but Alphonse is saved my Pinocchio's magic. Seemingly due to the act of a cricket hitting him with a firework, Alphonse is transformed into a human prince, revealing he was cursed to live as a mule. After he flees from battle, as payment for reversing his curse Alphonse sends the Golden Goose to Destiny's Children with their loved ones, Henry Hubbard, Tomas, and his two brothers, who were all captured by the people of the Land of the Giants.
