Aqrabus is one of the four student houses at Gowpenny Academy of Arcane Arts.
Description[]
Aqrabus is the house of what some may call evil, but others may call cunning or resourceful, ends justified but not with their own value. Its crest is a sigil of a lacquer black scorpion on a field of hunter green.
The Aqrabus Tower is located in a tall, gothic spire at the far end of the Gowpenny castle. The outside of the spire is adorned with green banners emblazoned with the house crest. The common area is dark and decadently decorated, with the windows enchanted to react to illusionary thunder. There is a little board located near the side of the common area that has a counter that reads, "Days since there's been a murder in this house." Since the house is known for being darker, its students like getting freaky, and there is an implication that there are plenty of sex dungeons within.
During the lead up to a Rivalry Week, a few members of Hercinil prank Aqrabus by magically floating Aqrabus Tower. Once they are thwarted, it's decided that the now floating state of the tower is actually considered an improvement. For example, there is now a missing step that is literal void, and the floating causes it to be a little taller than any of the other towers. So, while it may get fixed eventually, it is decided to keep Aqrabus Tower as is.
Background[]
In the hierarchy of the school, Aqurabus is considered "bad". Their students are expected to become magical villains.
History[]
Every year there is a Rivalry Week between Aqrabus House (aka the Villian House) and Hercinil House (aka the Hero House) which culminates in a big Scuppers game. Chimeron and Messanteu are not even allowed to be a part of Rivalry Week.

- As 'Gowpenny' is based off of 'Hogwarts' from Harry Potter, so Aqrabus House is an analogue for Slytherin.
- The film Mortal Kombat plays in the common room every night.
