Astoria is a neighborhood in Queens where Cody and Pete's place is located. It is also the site of The War of Bugs and Rats and was chosen because of its residents' reputation for fighting off gentrification. La gran gata's bodega is in Astoria.

Steinway Street[]
A busy main street in Astoria with lots of small family owned shops and restaurants, usually on the first floor of two story buildings. The combat encounter pushes through a bodega, a laundromat, a pizza shop, and an Irish pub. It is named for Steinway and Sons Pianos, who have their first factory there.
Cody and Pete's Place[]
A house that is home to six people. Nasir Noor's name is on the lease, so he pays the most rent. Cody and Josh Mendoza live together in a partitioned-off section of the living room. They plan to put some plywood up to make it more permanent. Cody really wants to hang scythes on the wall, but the house voted against it. Nasir has his own room, but works in the shared living space since the internet is better there for his job. Lars and Brita are a couple who often invite other people over for sex. Pete, their newest roommate, moves into a technically-illegal sublet in the attic.
