Battle of the Bloodrush Brethren is the tenth episode of season 1, Fantasy High.
The Bad Kids fight Coach Daybreak, Ragh Barkrock, and skeletal bloodrush players in an attempt to prevent the apocalypse.

"Guys, last we left off, our heroes rushed to the Bloodrush Field to see Coach Daybreak and his team of skeletal Owlbears. The battle begins as the arch from the Church of Sol glimmers with kinetic magic potential, not fully open yet... twilight fades, the sun sets in the west. Skeletons charge forward as Coach Daybreak blows on his whistle."
Synopsis[]
Fabian is the first to act and calls the Hangman to the Bloodrush Field. He sees a smoking, purple orb in the hand of one of the skeletons, who looks like he's going to throw it. Fabian dashes to the opposite side of the field. Daybreak moves to meet Fabian at the center of the field. He action surges and slashes Fabian. Adaine casts Fly on Gorgug. The skeletal bloodrush players begin to rush the field. Riz notices that the skeleton with the orb is planning to pass the ball to a receiver near Fabian. After seeing this, Riz stands in the church archway and readies an action to "play goalie" if the orb comes near him.
Fig, disguised as a Harvestman, convinces Daybreak that she's on his side. She casts Suggestion on the receiver and tells him to give her the orb, but he just starts rushing toward her. She also winks at Riz, giving him Bardic Inspiration. Kristen blesses Riz, Gorgug, and Adaine before moving to join the rest of the group on the field. Gorgug, flying headfirst across the field, goes into a rage and destroys the skeletal receiver. With the intended target for the orb gone, the quarterback switches targets and successfully passes to a different receiver. Daybreak compliments the skeletal team on their hustle.
Fabian and Daybreak attack each other. Adaine casts Web on a group of the skeletal players, but only the bruiser is caught within the web. The receiver with the orb rushes toward the stone archway and the would-be portal begins to glow red. With the help of Adaine's Nat 20 divination roll, Riz uses his readied action to shoot the ball out of the receiver's hand and catch it. The same receiver dives towards the portal that doesn't form and crashes into the solid stone.
A skeleton grapples Adaine while a different skeleton hits her for 8 HP. When another skeleton tries to do the same to Kristen, she hits him across the head with her staff and knocks him to the ground. The skeletons that try to grapple Gorgug also fail miserably. Riz dashes to Gorgug and hops on his back. Fig projects a Cone of Fear on the three skeletons who were attacking Kristen and Adaine, causing them to start running away. Kristen takes out "On the Subject of World Religions" and Channels Divinity to destroy two other skeletons, As she does this, she shouts, "Sometimes, it's sad to have more questions than answers, but... uh... Livin' La Vida Loca!"
Gorgug flies toward the chest on the other side of the field to dunk the ball and "The Ball", but is stopped and grappled by a raging Ragh Barkrock. Riz is knocked off of Gorgug's back but lands on his feet and keeps holding on to the orb. Ragh attacks Gorgug for 8 HP. Gorgug, still in the grapple, attacks Ragh twice.
Fabian stays in combat with Daybreak, hitting him once and then using Second Wind to heal himself. Daybreak hits Fabian for 17 HP, knocks Fabian to the ground, and starts sprinting towards Riz. Adaine casts Witch Bolt on the skeleton who ran into the church archway and kills it. The skeletons affected by Fig's fear spell rush off of the field. A skeleton tries to tackle Fig but fails horribly. The orb in Riz's hand animates 3 new skeletons around him. 2 of the skeletons hit him but Riz uses an Uncanny Dodge to lower the damage taken. He uses Nimble Escape to run to the center of the field and readies an action to throw the orb to Kristen Applebees if someone tries to attack him.
Fig casts Dissonant Whispers on Coach Daybreak with limited success. She winks at Riz again and gives him more Bardic Inspiration. Kristen casts Cure Wounds on Fabian, holding onto him and singing the chorus to "Livin' La Vida Loca". Gorgug breaks out of Ragh's grapple and moves in front of Riz. Ragh swings at Riz, who uses another Uncanny Dodge.
Fabian Action Surges to run toward Riz. He grabs "The Ball" and the ball before sprinting past Coach Daybreak. A skeleton guarding the chest at the end of the field attempts to attack Fabian, but he resists the attack. Fabian slam-dunks Riz and the orb into the chest, but Riz is able to hop out of the chest with Adaine's divination roll. Fabian turns to Daybreak, holds up both middle fingers, and shouts, "What's good?! Fuck! You!"
Once the orb is in the chest, the skeletons on the field are vaporized. Daybreak runs toward the chest and Fabian as he and Gorgug both miss attacks on each other. Adaine casts Ray of Sickness on Daybreak, who instantly shits his pants. Riz picks up the chest, hides behind the scoreboard, and readies his gun "Macaulay Culkin style". Coach Daybreak shatters a palimpsest on the ground, spawning an actual Owlbear. The Owlbear begins to charge at Adaine. Fig moves away from the Owlbear despite Adaine's protests, telling her, "You got it, girl." Fig attempts to cast Dissonant Whispers on Coach Daybreak again and succeeds but does not deal much damage. She winks at Adaine and gives her Bardic Inspiration. Kristen asks the party for advice on what she should do and, using Riz's idea, successfully casts Hold Person on Ragh. Gorgug screams, "Stop picking on me!" and recklessly attacks Ragh, knocking him unconscious.
The Hangman finally arrives at the Bloodrush Field. Fabian gets on it and drives it straight at Coach Daybreak, knocking him prone and stabbing him in the dick. Daybreak leaps up and hits Fabian twice, telling Fabian he "has no heart." Adaine uses Burning Hands on the Owlbear. Riz momentarily comes out of hiding, shoots Daybreak, uses Fury of the Small, and goes back to hiding with the chest. The Owlbear attacks Adaine with its beak and claws. Fig attempts to cast Suggestion on Daybreak to find out which teachers are involved in the Harvestmen plot but fails. She winks at Kristen and gives her Bardic Inspiration. Kristen notices that the chest has locked itself and that more skeletons will not appear. She heals Adaine using Cure Wounds and winks at her (though the wink is more uncomfortable than anything else). Gorgug takes all of his attacks on the Owlbear and decapitates it.
Fabian, still on the motorcycle, grapples Daybreak and drags him across the field. As Fabian drags him along, Fig spits in his eye. Daybreak removes himself from Fabian's grip and attacks Kristen for 45 points of damage. Adaine tries to cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on him but fails. Riz goes back into "Kevin McCallister" mode and readies an action with his rapier to prevent anyone from stealing the chest. Fig swings her bass guitar at Daybreak but misses. She uses Healing Word on Kristen and Kristen uses Cure Wounds on herself. Gorgug flies over to the rest of the group and attacks Daybreak twice. Daybreak hits Gorgug back as a reaction.
Fabian lunges forward on the Hangman and slits Daybreak's throat with his rapier. Daybreak falls down, says his final words: "No... heart." Fabian considers removing his heart from his chest - something his father would do - but decides against it. He does, however, take Daybreak's whistle. Riz brings the chest over to the rest of the group. The party realizes that, while they were fighting Daybreak, Ragh failed his death saving throws and fully died. Riz walks over to Daybreak, shoots him in the head several times, and kills him.
Adaine discovers that the chest was opened with a one-time magical effect to open it. There are also carved, powerful runes concerning teleportation and opening portals to other worlds. She ties Ragh up and Gorgug puts him in a headlock. Then, Kristen uses Revivify on Ragh to bring him back to life. Fig uses Words of Terror to make Ragh paranoid. The Bad Kids convince Ragh that he shit Coach's pants, that everyone is calling him "shit-pants", and that he has to transfer to Mumple School. The Bad Kids then tell Ragh that they're looking out for him but that, if he doesn't defend them in school, they'll tell everyone he shit his pants. Ragh agrees to protect the Bad Kids at all costs as long as they don't tell anyone that he shit his pants.
