Description[]

Bella is a beautiful fairy that dresses all in red.

Background[]

Bella is one of the fairies that gave Rosamund her enchanted gifts as a baby. When she speaks to Rosamund in the briar patch, she haven't spoken to her since the day of her birth.

History[]

The Trials of Baba Yaga[]

Bella appears to Rosamund as she is carrying out her chore for Baba Yaga. As Rosamund is trying to help the dying Prince Jonathan who has been caught in Sleeping Beauty's enchanted briar patch, Bella and the other fairies reveal themselves to her. They try to convince the princess to help them set her story to the way it is meant to be. Bella specifically tries to convince her that what was happening to Jonathan isn't the fairies' fault. She places the blame on the Gander and the corruption of the Neverafter. She then tells Rosamund that Jonathan is, in fact, her Prince Charming; her true love. Furthermore, if she helps them, they can save him and "set [Rosamund's] story to right." When none of their pleas work, the Wicked Fairy shows up, and begins to threaten the prince. Rosamund then replies that she's only cruel to make the other fairies look good, and asks how they are different from each other. Bella is the first to pipe up that they are different because they gave Rosamund beauty and grace; virtues all. Bosartia, on the other hand, cursed the princesses. Furthermore, if it weren't for them, Rosamund would have died when she turned eighteen. When Rosamund ultimately makes the choice to give up the hope of being with her Prince Charming, and be alone instead, she, along with the rest of the fairies present, scatter.

The Ending of All Things (Part 1)[]

When nearly all the Princesses are either gone or switched sides, Rosamund is able to feel that a force outside of the room is coming. It is then that the Fairies show up at the Canonade.

The Ending of All Things (Part 2)[]

After Bella destroys the protective construct placed around Aesop by Pinocchio, Baba Yaga slams the fairy into the ground with her flying mortar and pestle, killing her.

Trivia[]

  • Bella's name wasn't revealed until the Neverafter mini auction.[1]
