Bloppelganger Blitz is the seventh episode of season 10, The Seven.

"Last we left off we were at the midst of a masquerade ball aboard the Rombosa, flag airship of mogul and Baronic Lord Talcidimir Tallbreeze. But we're not here to talk about boastful billionaires. We're here to talk about Tectonya Karkovnya. The superintendent of the Solesian School System who has just been discovered by our seven fearless Maidens! Danielle Barkstock with a nat 20 on her entrance into the party, resplendent as the Empress Anima of the Eidolons made contact with a disguised woman kind of behind a fan-like book that is covering her face with a red velvet pair of shoes which due to the reconnaissance of Penny Duckstone below. With the adorable Lysander Higgins, we discovered that this was none other than Tectonya! Your long quest to find the Superintendent has been fruitful, she is here at this grand masquerade ball in the VIP dais. However, all is not as it seems. Transforming into horrible, glowing, ooze-like monsters, many guests at the party began to sneeze and cough in these horrible transformation as seen by Antiope Jones below along with a perception check that let her know that some horrifying spell was at work. Some element of concentration being held on these monstrosities. I lay the scene for you now. You are all in the grand ballroom in one place or another for the most part of the Rombosa. Empress Anima, AKA, Danielle Barkstock is in conversation in the dais with Talcidimir Tallbreeze and Tectonya Karkovnya. Rapidly approaching her also here in the VIP dais due to some very careful disguise work, and shoving a rich electrum piece bro in a closet. Disguised as Dunston Tallbreeze, Sam Nightingale is entering the VIP dais passing by the Lady Coeliabranca, who is sort of the majordomo of Talcidimir Tallbreeze. Approaching from the other entryway with host Michel Parnassus and half-orc guard Sean is Katja Cleaver who has just discovered that her mother may be here at the masquerade. Out on the balcony overlooking the city skyline of Gravalvia is Ostentatia Wallace who has Michel Parnassus's charm, but also was going out to where the dancing was happening and now looks around at a dance floor with people bursting out into monstrous forms and shapes. On the ground floor by Lysander's little shoe shine chair is Penny Duckstone. Farther away, kind of with a central view of many areas and balconies is Midnight Huntress, AKA Antiope Jones. And charging out from the bathroom at the sounds of screams is also Madam Goodparty AKA Zelda Donovan. "
Synopsis[]
As the episode begins, Antiope is on the bottom floor of the Rombosa's Great Hall, where she has witnessed the transformation of several guests into Bloppelgangers. Antiope crushes the tracker that was in the shirt she got from Preston and casts Hunter's Mark before shooting one of the "gooiest boys" twice, doing 22 points of damage. With a perception check, she realizes that these monstrosities are very, very durable, and decides to try to get away from the area she is in.
Sam does an Arcana check and gets information on bloppelgangers, figuring out that they are parasitic organisms that were introduced to the citizens of the Baronies by the newest fad, the Flubectomy. Bloppelgangers are not very fast, nor do they normally turn as fast as they had been, confirming that they were augmented by magic. Sam attempts to part a bloppelganger from its host, using create water to flush their sinuses, which unfortunately fails. As she moves backwards, she bumps into a masked person coming up behind her.
Penny is next in initiative and attacks the nearest enemy, moving into an elevator with Lysander Higgins. She and Lysander both attack the bloppelganger in the elevator, taking some acid damage in return from splash back from the goo. Penny yells to Zelda, who has exited the bathroom, to come with her.
Ostentatia moves away from a group of enemies, taking one opportunity attack, and casts flame strike on all enemies on the balcony , dealing 34 damage, which Brennan reveals is actually going up to 51, as the bloppelgangers are vulnerable to fire damage. As this is happening, Danielle, who is on the VIP dais, witnesses Tectonya get hit with a ranged spell. Ostentatia sees a person at the end of the rampart, who is the one that casted the spell. After this happens, the masked person that Sam bumped into moves onto the dais and attacks Tectonya.
Danielle tries to see what she can do to help Tectonya, realizes she has been incapacitated by an 8th level spell, and knows there is nothing she can do. She summons 8 anarchistic pixies to the battlefield and gets one of them to transform Talcidimir into an Ape. She has another cast phantasmal force on the Greatsword Wielder to make it seem as if the room is on fire, another casts confusion, and more move off towards the other maidens to cast fly, only reaching Danielle and Katja in this round. She ALSO summons the Spirit of the Bear, giving herself, Sam, Katja, Tectonya, Talcidimir, Coeliabranca, and all 8 pixies 15 HP. After that amazing play, Danielle flies upward over the dais.
