Brawl at the Black Pit, also known as Brawl at the Zombie Bar,[1] is the sixth episode of season 1, Fantasy High.
The Bad Kids have to fight their way out of the Black Pit when DJ Brainzz drops the beat and transforms the other concertgoers into vampires, werewolves, and zombies.

"Last week our intrepid heroes were deep in the Black Pit, Elmville's number one music venue. All the assorted patrons at the bar and club have just burst forth into their true, monstrous forms; vampires, werewolves, zombies now spread out across the dance floor in the various rooms and venues, and our heroes are scattered and in disarray. Here we see the board before us. DJ Brainzz at the turntables, two massive, pulsing amps behind him. Zayn Darkshadow raving it up on the floor. Riz hiding behind a bar stool. Fig and Gorgug hanging back in the dance hall, looking on, having just seen the... crystal in Zayn's pocket light up, being texted from Johnny Spells's burner. In this bar area, we have Kristen Applebees talking about faith and getting a romantic proposition from a young woman who has just freaked the fuck out and turned into a ravening werewolf. And... our two most patrician party members, Adaine and Fabian, in the whiskey bar area, as far from the music as they can get."
Synopsis[]
The beat of the electronic music drops. Fabian tells Adaine that they need to find the rest of the group and runs into the next room. He can see DJ Brainzz and Zayn Darkshadow through a window but chooses to wait in that room for Adaine and dodge any attacks. Two vampires kill bystanders, one runs toward Fig, and another slashes at Kristen. Adaine runs for the exit as zombies start to attack people on the dance floor, including Fig and Gorgug. Riz can see that DJ Brainzz is just a glamoured zombie, so he runs up onto the stage and successfully attacks him, using Fury of the Small. On the dance floor, Zayn starts running. Motivated by the music, Gorgug goes into a rage and severely injures a zombie.
As more innocent bystanders are hurt and the creatures begin to fight one another, Fabian dodges a werewolf attack. Tracker attacks the vampire that attacked Kristen. Kristen jumps over the bar and tries to run for the door but takes an attack from a vampire. She begins to summon her spiritual weapon - a giant, glowing, spectral ear of corn. Human bystanders panic and either run for the exits or hide. Fig hides behind Gorgug and winks at him, granting him Bardic Inspiration. DJ Brainzz shifts the track again, but Riz is able to resist the magic blasting from the speakers.
Running and jumping like a gazelle, Fabian gracefully smashes through the window that opens onto the dance floor and takes cover behind the bar. A vampire leaps onto the bar and fails to bite Kristen. In the other room, a vampire named Sasha, Lord of Whispers, slashes Gorgug and calls for his allies to get silver and defeat the werewolves. A terrified Adaine runs outside to get the bouncer for help but finds that he is also transforming into a werewolf. She runs back inside and casts Ray of Sickness on the first werewolf she sees.
On the dance floor, Gorgug takes multiple hits. DJ Brainzz calls on the zombies to protect him and sends them after Riz and Fabian. Riz is hit, but the zombies are unable to climb over the bar and Fabian remains unscathed. Riz uses his insightful fighting to spear the DJ with his rapier, looking over at Fabian while he does it to see if Fabian is impressed. He is not.
Fig tries to attack Zayn as he runs past her, but she misses and tries to pass it off as dancing. As he makes it to the bar in the middle room, he sees the fighting creatures and uses magic to vanish. Gorgug decapitates a zombie before running toward DJ Brainzz, taking attacks from zombies as he goes. He hurls a handaxe at the DJ equipment. The handaxe hits the amp but is magically repelled as the equipment begins to repair itself; it appears that this specific amp is magical.
The poisoned werewolf attacks Adaine. She uses her divination roll to protect herself from his claw attack, but he still bites her. Despite the attack, she is able to resist the infection and does not contract lycanthropy.
Kristen runs through the doorway, barely missing a vampire attack and bumping into something invisible. She uses Channel Divinity: Turn Undead; as she does, she hears Helio's voice in her head, much to her confusion and displeasure. The zombies run away, but Sasha remains unaffected. Kristen tries to hit him with her Spiritual Weapon but fails. Fig shreds on her bass and casts Shatter on DJ Brainzz, his turntable, and the other zombies. One zombie is torn apart completely, the turntable cracks in half, and DJ Brainzz is thrown back. Fig winks at a confused Kristen and gives her Bardic Inspiration. His turntable broken, DJ Brainzz pulls out a portable speaker and plays foul-smelling music, but Riz is able to avoid its effects.
Fabian vaults over the bar and shoots an arrow at DJ Brainzz, badly injuring him. The vampires rush from the bar onto the dancefloor, surround Kristen, and knock her unconscious. At the front of the building, Adaine casts a high-powered Witch Bolt on the werewolf that just attacked her. The spell hits but does little damage. Gorgug, Riz, and Fabian take attacks on the dance floor. Riz stabs DJ Brainzz through the head, killing him instantly and turning him to dust. As the music stops, a shockwave ripples throughout the club, stopping the werewolves and vampires and de-animating all the zombies.
In the momentary pause, Fig heals Kristen. Adaine successfully avoids a panic attack. There is a strange, heavy tension in the bar as the werewolves realize that the vampires have silver weaponry. Both the werewolves and the vampires begin to regroup. Realizing that they may still be in danger, Gorgug suggests that they all leave immediately. Gorgug helps Kristen up, Fabian grabs Riz, and the party starts to rush out of the club. Before she leaves the room, Fig gives Bardic Inspiration to the werewolf preparing to attack Sasha.
At the front of the building, they find Adaine and the werewolf who bit her, who is apologizing profusely to her. He explains that his lycanthropy is a sickness that he can't treat because he doesn't have health insurance. Riz tells him about the open position for a guidance counselor at Aguefort. The werewolf introduces himself as Jawbone and it appears that this counselor position may be his lucky break. As the party leaves, they see that the bouncer was successfully restrained by his dog, Rover - almost certainly thanks to the Bardic Inspiration that Fig gave to Rover during Episode 5.
With sirens blaring in the distance, the group bullies Fabian into inviting them over to Seacaster Manor. Fig leads the party through the back allies of Downtown. She uses the smoke from her cloves to keep them hidden but is unable to stop herself from puking and sets off a disgusting chain reaction throughout the party.
They arrive at Seacaster Manor and meet Fabian's mother, Hallariel. She is moved by Adaine's formal elven greeting and incorrectly identifies her as her sister, Aelwyn. Fig attempts to flirt with her, but Hallariel ignores her. As they move further into the house, they meet Cathilda, the Seacaster's halfling maid, and Fabian's father, Bill Seacaster. Adaine attempts another formal elven greeting, but Bill doesn't speak Elvish and cannot understand it.
Fig plays Bill a sea shanty, which delights him. He joins in loudly and calls out to his singing crewmen, who pop out from barrels around them. Bill aggressively encourages the party to join in on the festivities. They have no choice but to comply and The Bad Kids pirate-party the night away.
