Ceresian Senate

The Ceresian Senate is the ruling government structure of Ceresia, the grain nation of Calorum.

Approximately 10 Senators attend the Grand Tournament, though there may be more Senators who stayed behind to govern Ceresia.

The Ravening War[]

During the Festival of St. Eggamere, several Ceresian senators act as representatives of Ceresia during the Eggamere Cornucopia Convocation in 1198, which set of the events of the Ravening War.

History[]

At the start of the Ravening War, the Ceresian Senate used military support to aid in their alliance with the Vegetanian Lords against Fructera, a move that widely upset the Ceresian people. In the two years that follow, Senator Focaccia claims dominance of Ceresia as the new Imperator. The most recent version of the Senate was founded sometime after the death of Imperator Focaccia at the end of the Ravening War, at least four years prior to the Grand Tournament. It was overthrown by Senator Augustus Ciabatta who used blackmail to assassinate his political opponents and seize control as Imperator. Following Ciabatta's death during the siege of Castle Candy, the Republic and the Senate were both restored.
