Chieftess Cleva Katzon is the former leader of the Beef Clan, and the mother of Thanes Veyn and Delissandro Katzon.

Episodes Featuring Cleva Katzon
The Ravening War

Description[]

Cleva Katzon is an older rib eye steak woman. She is muscular, with broad shoulders and an incredible torso. She leads the Beef clan. She wears ceremonial armor. She admits that she is not really good with social interactions, feeling her son is much better in that regard. She doesn't like to travel to do battle, preferring to use the home turf advantage.

History[]

The Seeds of Conflict[]

At her son's idea, the chieftess arrives in Comida as part of the Festival of Saint Eggamere. However, she's not very happy to be there, uncomfortable with both the long journey, and having to be social with everyone. It is clear that she is very distrustful of nobility.

Bloody Harvest[]

In the first two years of the Ravening War, Thane Deli spends much of his time attempting to unite the people of the Meat Lands under the banner of his mother against the increasing Ceresian threat. The effectiveness of his leadership causing his mother great pride.

The Light and the Shadow[]

After Thane Deli switches allegiances to Basha Myaso, Cleva stops speaking to Delissandro, no longer recognizing the person her son has become. When he finally becomes chief of his own clan, she, no longer chieftess, leaves him completely. She ends up walking northward up the Meat Lands, and is never seen again.

Relationships[]

Colin Provolone[]

Cleva and Colin share a charcuterie board during the ball at the Festival of Saint Eggamere. While she reveals a mistrust of the man (and all the nobles there), she also acknowledges a kind of respect for him as well. The two cheers with pieces of salami, and the chieftess makes a deal with Colin that he will protect her son, whose open-heartedness she thinks makes him a target. She also threatens that if he betrays Deli, she will, "rend [his] cheesy body from side-to-side, and strip it across the very Lacramor itself." When he agrees, she drops an uncounted amount of coins into is lap.

In the first two years of the Ravening War, Colin keeps his promise of protecting Delissandro, earning the title of Skald Provolone in the Chieftess' name. When she first hears her son refer to Colin by this title, Cleva is initially shocked, but ultimately approves.

Thane Delissandro Katzon[]

Cleva is intially very proud and protective of her son. However, as he becomes more of a ruthless warlord, she distances herself from Deli, and ultimately abandon's him completely.

Senator Enzo Carbano[]

While she is polite to her son's grandfather, Cleva is rather uncomfortable around him, seemingly due to the loss of her late partner, not being able to think of anything better to compliment him with than, "Conscious."
