Constance Brockhollow is the daughter and oldest child of William Thornwall Brockhollow, and older sister of Jeremy Brockhollow. She is married to Dr. Corbin Magpie, a commoner, and as such is unable to become the new Squire Badger when her father dies.

Description[]
Appearance[]
Constance is a 6 ft 8 badger woman.
Personality[]
Constance does care about reputation, but she is also very modern and progressive. She doesn't see eye to eye with her father (politically or otherwise), but she loves him. She is spirited, and more sensible than Jeremy, although she has inherited her father's anger issues.
Background[]
Constance had previously been estranged from her father due to political issues, as well as friction over her marriage to Corbin. She had returned to Loam Hall because the Squire had promised to apologize, but impressed on her the importance of her being at the party.
History[]
Before the Squire Badger's murder, Gangie Green had heard Constance whisper-yelling at her father for being "possessed" and "mad" prior to his death, telling him that "this" won't work, and not to bring it up again, before slamming the door.
It is later revealed that this conversation was the Squire letting her in on the plan to fake their deaths in order to escape their debt. After this conversation, the Squire tried to call off the plan, and attempted to write a letter to Sylvester explaining his plan and explaining the fake death of Conor McCabbage as his "practice run", at Constance's insistance. His co-conspirator found out he was trying to bail on the plan, and killed him for real. Constance feels a lot of guilt for this.
The plan continued to be pulled off separately by Lucretia and Cottonbottom, causing Constance and Corbin to be kidnapped and their deaths faked. They were later found alive but bound and gagged in the boat house by Lucretia.
