Episodes Featuring Dracula
Coffin Run

Description[]

Appearance[]

Count Dracula is a very handsome and pale vampire with high cheek bones, manicured eyebrows, and impossibly large teeth over plump, ruby red lips, and he has a goatee. Squing once described him as "the only possible man prettier than me". He is cloaked in velvet clothes which look like the night. He smells like saffron.

In Episode 1, Dracula is attacked by the AVVC, leaving him with half of his skull shattered and a large gaping hole/sucking wound in his chest cavity.

Personality[]

Dracula is incredibly theatrical and charming, but it becomes clear later in the season that he is incredibly two-faced, and often complains about his closest confidants behind their backs. He is also unbelievably cruel, being implied to frequently torture Wetzel for fun, and Drago claims that “last man who give him nickname, he cut off his hands and hang him under bridge”.

Background[]

Prior to Coffin Run, Dracula had temporarily left Transylvania to go to New York City, as he feels young again when he travels, and also he enjoys eating hot dogs. It is implied that Dracula was suicidal when he left, and had not planned on returning.

History[]

Relationships[]

Dr. Aleksandr Astrovsky[]

Dracula took in Sasha, as he saw his castle as a place for societal outcasts, and Sasha had recently left his home country due to antisemitism. Dracula loves the work that Sasha does, and finds joy in his laughter, but Dracula was the one who kicked Sasha's wife out of the castle. Despite this, there seems to be no love lost between Sasha and Dracula.

Allied International Monster Slayers[]

Despite their stated purpose, AIMS have an agreement with Count Dracula to leave him and his allies alone, although this was voided when Dracula appeared to have died.

Christine[]

Christine was married to Dracula, and he loved her very much. After she died, he never loved anyone else, despite marrying multiple other women, including May and Zaria.

Dimitri[]

Dimitri is Count Dracula's familiar and messenger, and is incredibly loyal to and protective over him, often to a fault. Dracula dresses Dimitri.

Florina[]

Florina wants to become Dracula's apprentice and friend, as she wants to become a vampire. She has written her own Letters of Recommendation for this purpose.

May Wong[]

May is one of Dracula's multiple wives, although she wants to be his only wife, and to make adorable little babies with him. She is in love with him and believes him to love her back. Dracula clearly has conflicting emotions about May. He sees potential in her and asked Zaria to protect her while he was away, but has previously described her as boring and annoying. He doesn't love her, as he has found it impossible to love anyone since the death of Christine. He tells her he cares for her deeply and refers to her as one his prized possessions (along with the rest of The Fang Gang).

Setzer[]

Setzer is a servant and close confidante of Dracula, to whom Dracula wrote several letters, disparaging the Fang Gang, especially May and Wetzel.

Squing[]

Count Dracula is Squing's vampire sire and self-described “father in spirit and in the un-life.” Squing was the first vampire Dracula sired, leading to their close father-son like relationship. Dracula cares deeply for Squing, telling him that the day he created Squing, he did the one good thing he needed to do to atone for his sins and if he were ever to lose Squing, he would lose the brightest part of his soul.

Squing cares for him in return, being the one to carry his body away from fights where necessary. He spends the two months Dracula is gone writing poems about him, but is unable to finish them, as he couldn't find a word that rhymes with Dracula.

Wetzel[]

Wetzel is initially obsessed with Dracula, and works for him with the hope that one day he will turn him into a vampire. Wetzel works for Dracula in the hopes that he will one day turn him into a vampire. He is incredibly eager to please Dracula, and as such even allows Dracula to torture him for fun, which is probably the origin of Wetzel's severe mutilating injuries. As time goes on, Wetzel becomes disillusioned towards Dracula and vampirism, having read a letter written from Dracula to Setzer saying that he (Dracula) thinks of Wetzel as an idiot, finding him incredibly annoying and far to eager to please. Based on this information and his constant unfair treatment of him, Wetzel decides not to join Dracula's final meeting in which Dracula might have turned him, and instead invited Drago to join him on a trip around the world to find themselves, perhaps to Cairo.

Zaria[]

Zaria is married to Count Dracula alongside many other women, including May. She really likes Dracula's facial hair, and is convinced not to look at his dying body by May when the latter pretends that Dracula has shaved. Dracula wrote Zaria a letter calling her "my love", and "my dearest wife", although he freely admits that he does not, in fact, love her, and hasn't loved anyone since the death of his first wife, Christine. The first and last time we see her, Zaria is leaving Dracula with the other wives in order to become a star.
