During the previous fight, Cricket started to get physically off, as though he was increasingly drunk. After the fight, Cricket isn't do so well. However, once Pinocchio forces him to drink some water, he starts to feel better, even starting to sing. He then reassures Pinocchio in for the future confrontation with the Princesses/Fairies by pointed out, "What choice do you have?" ie that it's going to happen eventually, so you can't spend life worrying about it, and helps Pinocchio imagine a world after the final battle. Cricket then apologizes to Pinocchio that the people in his life made him think that he couldn't be a "real" boy unless he was perfect.

Trivia[]

  • According to Lou Wilson in the Adventuring Party episode We'll See You In The Soup, Cricket has Pseudodragon stats instead of imp stats as it felt 'more right' than having trickery and shape-shifting abilities.
  • He does not like water. At all.
  • When Pinocchio finally forces Cricket to drink some water, his voice deepens, and he begins to sing When You Wish Upon a Star. This is the song sung by Jimminy Cricket in the Disney animated version of Pinoochio.
