The Dish is at the bar when the heroes of Neverafter are reuniting. He approaches them carefully, as to not break, and asks them if they want to eat off of him. He was previously in a relationship with Spoon which ended badly. He goes to talk about his love affair to Timothy Goose, who accidentally sucks him into his book, leaving the lines "The Dish ran away with the Spoon." He left behind his tab, which was upwards of thirty gold.

Dish and Spoon used to in a relationship and ran away together. The relationship ended badly, which causes Dish to be extremely depressed. He is extremely hung up on her, and lets Mother Timothy Goose absorb him into his book so he can live in the moments him and Spoon were together.
Pete the Cow[]
Dish and Pete seem to know each other and are part of the same story. Dish is immediately suspicious at the suggestion that Spoon left him for Pete.
