Description[]
Dr. Lugash is a very kind but intimidating looking guy. He has a big square jaw and a nose that's been busted up from boxing. He has broad shoulders and huge hairy arms with "strangling hands". His arms are covered in a bunch of tattoos of weird dragons wrapped around his arms with Cyrillic lettering. His hair is salt and pepper, which he wears in a flop. He wears a white shirt with a black tie, but no doctor's coat. He also wears extremely thick-rimmed black glasses, which magnifies his eyes a bit and makes him look a little goofy.
Dr. Lugash mostly works with people who need medical attention for cash, not on the books, a majority of which ends up being gangsters who need bullets removed. He is a good doctor, and according to Kingston Brown, he could be making a lot of money if he worked in a hospital. He was happy to perform Pete the Plug's top surgery, as there hadn't really been a chance to previously show that he was an LGBT ally.
Background[]
Dr. Lugash is Pete's primary doctor, recommended by Pete's supplier, 53\/3N. He performed Pete's top surgery, though it was his first time doing such a procedure. Presumably, he is the one who gives Pete anti-psychotic medication as well as testosterone.
Prior to being a Doctor, he was a mobster in Moscow, and magical. It is revealed in Let's Get Tiny that Lugash is awoken into the Unsleeping City and is aware of magic. Due to his knowledge of the Unsleeping City, Sofia Lee goes to him when she is dealing with her part celestial pregnancy, where Lugash claims that the embryo is practically indestructible, and that if there was a nuclear bomb, only the Cockroaches and the embryo would survive. His dragon tattoos can move and are also magical.
Chapter I[]
Start Spreading the News[]
Dr. Lugash is first introduced as Pete sits in his "office" for a checkup. Dr. Lugash reports that Pete's vitamin levels are low, but congratulates him on how well his top surgery scars have healed up. When Pete breaks down about being "ready to fuck", Dr. Lugash awkwardly attempts to comfort him and find out what's wrong. Pete pops a shroom to calm himself down, and when Dr. Lugash investigates this poor self-care further, Pete admits that he hasn't been sleeping. With the lack of sleep alongside his active use of recreational drugs alongside his antipsychotic medication and hormone treatment, Dr. Lugash recommends Pete take a look at himself and consider that he may be trying to medicate for something that can't be treated. As Pete consumes a third mushroom, Dr. Lugash gives up and leaves the room to fetch a stomach pump, as trying to process that much drugs will straight up make Pete go insane. Before Pete leaves. Dr. Lugash thanks him for coming, as he doesn't get many chances to show that he's an LGBT+ ally, and suggests Pete takes it easy, as SantaCon is later that day. They part ways as Dr. Lugash tells Pete he needs to make a house call to another one of his patients who has just gotten into a violent car accident.

Chapter II[]
The Fall of New York City[]
As Pete leaves work at Uncommon Knowledge, he checks his phone to see that his most recent text is from Dr. Lugash, asking if he'll be attending their meeting tomorrow. Pete sends back a confirmation.
Later, when Yagdash Scrovich accidentally shoots himself in the ass on his run to deliver illegal drug money to Iga Lisowski, Iga recommends he go see Dr. Lugash about it. Yagdash begins to call him, and Iga kicks him out to finish her appointment with Sofia Lee.
