After the group discover the Durinson Mithral Factory, Kristen figures out that the owls and cats that have been following them are trying to sniff out and kill Edgar, presumably because he was a witness to Zayn's murder.

In Episode 9, Gorthalax helps the Bad Kids find Edgar in the Durinson Mithral Factory. After Gorthalax leaves, the Bad Kids read Edgar's mind and find out Zayn met with Coach Daybreak regularly and that the person who killed him was in sweatpants and a scarecrow mask which helps to confirm the information about the Harvestmen that the Bad Kids learned from Gorthalax earlier.

As of Episode 11, he was in the possession of Riz. He later discovers the hidden door in Riz's apartment and he also finds Zayn's life pearl in its grey state.

In Episode 15, it is revealed Goldenhoard ordered Mr. Fallowglade several owls and cats to follow and catch Edgar for unknown reasons but presumably because of the wording of 'Familiar' instead of 'Pet,' it makes it likely that he helped Zayn perform magic. It may also just be because he was a witness to Zayn's murder.

After the events of Episode 17, he has been returned to an undead Zayn.
