Fantasy High LIVE at RTX Austin is the second of two live one-shots released shortly after the finale of Fantasy High.
Introduction[]
"In a world... a world of myth and fantasy where dragons roam the sky, necromancers dwell in dark towers and fiendish beings of the underworld plot the downfall of man. We instead move... to Elmville!"
"Elmville is a happening little town. It's got a little diner by the highway, some cars powered by elementals, and then it's also got the one and only Aguefort Adventuring Academy. Which is this world's premier high school for heroes. On a beautiful day we settle in Elmville. We move through the clouds, we arrive at late autumn, sophomore year for our bad kids. We see a beautiful breeze blow through the quad outside of Aguefort. Some adventurers are kind of getting their wounds and injuries healed. And over on one segment of a little bit of grass, there's a group of kids from the druid class that are just kind of like hanging out and maybe they're like hacking, they're got a hacky sack going back and forth."
Synopsis[]
In the quad at Aguefort, a group of druids hack away at a hacky sack. Among them is Ficus, Cody, and an autumn eladrin. With a particularly forceful kick, Ficus sends the sack flying into the nearby forest. Cody, speaking only in growls, gestures for Ficus to retrieve the hacky sack. Ficus, interpreting this as a request to leave, wanders off into the forest. After scrambling around and finding an entirely different sack, Ficus is approached by a dryad woman who gives him a cryptic warning about an approaching force of nature spirits.
Back inside of Aguefort, Gorgug and Fig are in barbarian class. Their teacher Porter gives Gorgug a few pointers on his fighting technique, then turns to Fig and references a poorly-crafted subpoena she slipped into his desk earlier. Fig responds by disguising herself as a police officer while in plain sight, then disguising herself as Porter. As he's saying goodbye at the end of class, Porter mentions some exciting news about Zelda, to which Gorgug responds with confusion. Porter encourages him to head to the principal's office where Zelda is.
Gorgug and Fig, joined by Kristen, Riz, and Adaine, enter the principal's office to find Zelda at the copy machine. She tells them that her birthday is coming up and, since her parents are in town, there's going to be a "rager" at her house. She explains that a rager takes place when a battle dancer turns 16 and that it's a religious ritual her family celebrates. At the rager, she will be possessed by Faunus (the god of wine and ecstasy) and the rest of the rager will be vulnerable to attacks from other trickster spirits, so she recruits Kristen, Fig, and Adaine to help protect everyone as spellcasters. The group heads outside and runs into Ficus, who Zelda asks to participate in the upcoming ritual as a conduit for the spirits.
Before the party, Fig decides to go and invite Gilear by knocking on the window to his vice-principal's office, showing him a 6-pack of yogurt. Gilear reluctantly opens the window, injuring himself, and Fig asks him to come to the party "as [her] dad." He agrees to come, but only if they find an appropriate disguise. The rest of the gang enters at this point and, upon finding out through a letter to Gilear that Fabian is currently away settling some of his father's debts, decide to disguise Gilear as Fabian for the party.
The next night, Fig, Adaine, Riz, Kristen, and Gorgug -- along with Gilear posing as Fabian through a Disguise Self spell -- arrive at Zelda's house party. The party's popping off and crawling with teens; there's people playing beer bong, lighting up a bonfire, and jumping off a tire swing into a creek behind the house. A clearly drunk drow student approaches a mid-panic Adaine and gives her a noogie. Kristen attempts to start a conversation about religion with the drow, who brushes her off and slams back his drink, and decides to head inside to find a drink for herself.
Gorgug goes to the snack table, carrying a cookie cake for Zelda, and can't find a spot. Coming from a group of teens playing ultimate Frisbee, Ragh runs up and shouts for everyone to make room, and Gorgug asks if he's seen Zelda around. Ragh tells him that she's inside about to "freak out" and that he's prepared for battle since ragers are known for being deadly. Gorgug heads inside along with Ficus, who has given up on getting Cody through the door. Cody goes to the backyard, handing off a baggie of some sort of drug to Ficus. Gilear, disguised as Fabian, awkwardly announces himself to the party. Riz, seeing him struggle, runs up and loudly claims that this is the real Fabian, bursting into tears when "Fabian" declares that they are best friends.
Inside, Zelda is laying down in a circle of chalk decorated with leaves and candles, eyes closed and daggers crossed over her chest. The Maidens and Zelda's mom stand nearby. Mrs. Donovan approaches Ficus, handing him a tureen of wine and hallucinogens, and greets Gorgug.

- This episode has many, many references to Greek mythology.
- It opens with a dryad, a Greek mythological creature, giving a prophecy similar to the Oracle of Delphi.
- The episode focuses around Zelda and her family, all of whom are satyrs, another Greek mythological creature, and worship Faunus, who has many parallels to Dionysus.
- Zelda choosing Adaine, Kristen, and Fig as her "Fates" is a reference to the Moirae, or Fates, from Greek mythology.
- All of the Party Fouls are Greek mythological creatures: a gorgon, a minotaur, a harpy, a sphynx, and a centaur.
- Additionally, the centaur representing drunken rowdiness is very accurate to their Greek characterization.
