Grash is a member of House Jawbreaker, and one of Liam's many older brothers. He's admittedly one of the mean and unmarriageable ones who have yet to be married off and move out. He likely also took part in tormenting Liam as a child.
History[]
Grash is first mentioned when Whoppins and Paz deliver a note to Liam in the peppermint forests outside Castle Candy. The note is from Grash and says, written in code:
"Wassup, little mint? Rumor has it that, very soon, there will be movement on the part of the King of Candia, the False Son of the Alliance Breaker, He Who Cannot Keep His Oaths. Remember, you are a prisoner of our hateful cousins who sought to destroy our family's honor, and the honor of the name Jawbreaker. You were chosen to be ward, not us, otherwise we would have plunged a dagger into the King's heart already. See that you do your family proud, or the beating coming your way will be legendary." ― Grash's note
The party later meets Grash in person in Castle Manylicks, where Liam shoots him in the shoulder when threatened with torment. Grash screams in pain, but their father, Duke Joren Jawbreaker tells him to keep the arrow in, or there'd be an ass-wooping.
