Description[]
Helio has a long flowing beard, wears a white toga and sandals, and carries a bag of corn kernels at his belt. He is described by Kristen Applebees as being a "frat boy" who wore those sandals with the bottle opener on the bottom, and "could possibly have date-raped."
His hugs are the warmest you've ever felt.
Followers[]
His followers worship in the 'Temple of Sol.' Historically, his followers migrated to Solace from Highcourt with a trail of violence leading behind them.
Kristen Applebees[]
Helio will choose some of his followers to be "chosen" and can channel his divinity to gain automatic entry into heaven. Kristen was one such Chosen, and was a very devout follower, though she was usually more open-minded and compassionate than the other followers in her life, such as her parents and Coach Daybreak.
Upon her death in Clash of the Corn Cuties, she arrives in Heaven, where she meets Helio in person. He greets her warmly, but tells her it's not her time yet. Before she returns to Earth, she asks him why there was suffering in the world, to which Helio has no answer. He promptly disappears and sends Kristen back to her body, thus sowing a seed of doubt in her mind that would ultimately lead her to leave the Helionic faith.
The Harvestmen[]
Many of Helio's followers were extremists who organized under the name of "the Harvestmen". Unlike Kristen Applebees, who was very forgiving and accepted others' differing beliefs, the Harvestmen, which included her parents and Coach Daybreak, believed that anyone who wasn't totally devoted to Sol and Helio was condemned to Hell forever. Their goal was to bring about the end of the world in order to cleanse it of sin.
During Fantasy High, the Bad Kids uncover this plan, which was part of Kalvaxus's plot to return to power, and reported it to Sklonda Gukgak and the Elmville police, who were successfully able to to rid their town of the Harvestmen's influence.
