It is unknown what kind of candy the herald is, but he carries a candy horn which he blows before announcing the arrival of the royal family.
History[]
There is Strength in Sweetness[]
The Herald Poncival Pishpuff is first introduced as he approaches Sir Theobald Gumbar to check that the Princesses Jet and Ruby Rocks are ready for the ceremonies of their 18th Saint's Day. He blows his horn, and announces their arrival as they descend the grand staircase. Except that they don't. He tries again, louder, but they still don't show. Sir Theobald bends the knee loudly in a last attempt to get them to come down, but when they do not, Poncival suggests that their lesson with Chancellor Lapin Cadbury has run late, as Lapin does like to ramble. Theobald curses Lapin and heads off to find them.
Later, after the Princesses have been retrieved, he announces the King as he joins the rest of the player characters, when the six of them have gathered together for the first time. Poncival hurriedly introduces the Queen when she makes a surprise appearance, but she has so many titles, the King warns him to slow down or he'll pass out.
After the Queen scolds her daughters for playing hooky, the King decides to give them a family "lesson", where he bestows upon each of them one of his sisters' old weapons, as gifts for their Saint's Day. He gets emotional, and the Herald calls out that if the King cries, so shall they all.
Ambush on the Sucrosi Road[]
Poncival is present inside one of the carriages as House Rocks is attacked on the road.
Escape from the Bulb Creeps[]
Poncival's fate is left unknown after House Rocks flees Comida.
