Description[]
Il Terribile Pescecane is a giant dogfish, a whale-like fish. He is covered in spears, anchors, and has other sharp implements stabbed into him. His eyes are extremely tiny, and his one weak-spot. During the battle with him, he reveals himself on the battle map with waves that increase in size.
Background[]
Pinocchio and his father escaped the terrible dogfish in story one by lighting a fire inside his stomach, triggering his asthma. This causing Pinocchio and Geppetto to be coughed up.
History[]
A Warm Heart and a Tombstone[]
Pinocchio felt his strings being pulled by his book, telling him that something in his story is going to happen and he cannot stop it from happening. The element from his story is later revealed to be the dogfish.
Terror on Toy Island[]
During the fight trying to protect Mira from being taken away by her father, the dogfish bursts through the surface, eating the Mer-King, killing him. He then continues to burst through the surface of the water, eating whatever and whomever is in the way of it's mouth, including Cricket, whom he kills. At one point, he ends up eating Rosamund, to which Ylfa dives in the giant fish after her. While inside the beast, Ylfa is able to create a fire big and, more importantly, smokey enough to aggrevate the terrible pescecane's asthma, and cough the two back up. He loses his first eye by an arrow from Rosamund, and loses his second one when Puss in Boots jumps onto some debris on the water, and hurls a dagger into his other eye. Both eyes lost, the dogfish swims away.
Trivia[]
- Il Terribile Pescecane is literally Italian for "the Terrible Dogfish", as well as the dogfish's name in the original story of Pinnochio.
