Description[]
JJ is a big dude who wears a 1-up video game T-shirt. He discovered a theoretical particle of time and is incredibly excited about discovering that magic is real.
Background[]
JJ lived on a Seminole reservation in Florida before he was accepted into Columbia University for his high test scores and perfect GPA. He received a full scholarship to attend and studied a unique temporal phenomenon that occurs in New York City, the New York Minute. It is through his physics work that he discovers magic and is discovered by Esther Sinclair.
During his studies, he wasn't able to really connect with the other people in his program and didn't have many friends. This in addition to being so far from home contributes to occasionally feeling an overwhelming sense of loneliness

Esther excitedly considers ways to get him inducted into the Unsleeping City, such as leading him into an alley where he discovers magic is real.
We Need to Talk About Cody[]
He thanks Sofia Lee for the resources and research materials she provides to the Society through the Order of the Concrete Fist. He explains a little of his work to her, and she mentions that Cody Walsh likes video games too.
