As Iga leaves work on October 30th, she receives a text from Jessica. She asks her mother to stop by the store to pick up normal snacks, like Oreos and chips, for her sleepover that night. When Iga seems insulted that her borscht bites aren't good enough for her anymore, Jessica insists that she just wants things to be normal for when her friends are over. She requests borscht bites for lunch the next day as reassurance.
At home, Jessica is embarrassed when her friends are curious about what borscht bites are. Iga answers, much to her dismay. When Iga is in her room later, and the chest is thumping around the room, Jessica yells up for her to be quiet, as they're trying to watch a movie. Iga blames it on the neighbors.
