Jung Wei is first introduced when he teleports home as the Dream Team is led by Liu Yang Shen through the extradimensional space that the Shen family calls home. He arrives with his partner, Li Ji, and warmly greets Kingston Brown. Kingston praises the green tea that Liu Yang got for them, and Jung Wei jumps into tirade about how it can only be bought locally, and that there's too much sugar in things nowadays. Kingston heartily agrees.
Pete Conlan speaks up and mentions that he loves tea, made obvious by the magical teapot he carries with him everywhere. Pete asks if he can have some to put in his tea box and Jung Wei opens up an ancient, spiraling helix of cabinets and drawers, from which he retrieves a small bag of tea.
He introduces the group to Li Ji, who raises an eyebrow at the fact that so many Champions of New York are in one place. When Kingston produces the graffiti egg obtained from Smoczmatka, Jung Wei asks where he got it, and Kingston gestures to Iga Lisowski. Iga compliments what they've done with their interdimensional space, commenting on the nice mixture of old and new, and Jung Wei loudly mentions to his grandson, Danny Shen, that they try to keep "as much old around as possible". Danny just flashes a peace sign with his fingers. Jung Wei begins to apologize for his grandson when Iga interrupts, echoing the sentiment about her own kids' growing up America, where the attitude towards the past is different.
