Liam Wilhelmina of House Jawbreaker is King Amethar's cousin and ward. His animal companion is a pig made of peppermint named Peppermint Preston. He is played by Ally Beardsley.

"Hi, I’m Liam Wilhelmina. I am a level 2 Candycane Ranger. I’m currently on my hands and knees looking for interesting seeds! Uh, yeah, anyway, my dad is Duke Jawbreaker, there was like a falling out, I spend most of my life just kinda in the mountains, I’ve never been to a castle like this before, this is a new move. I’m here as a prisoner-- ah, sorry, a ward. We’re calling it a ward. Um, I kinda feel like I’m on vacation with someone else’s family, and they didn’t show up. I’m just kinda in the mix. But I do have my pig! I have a tiny piglet named Preston, he’s a peppermint pig, he’s really good, he finds rare seeds. It’s so sick. He found seed once, we cracked it open, it was a candy cane! It was a full candycane. That-- that was d-- that was the best day I’ve had in Candia so far. I kinda miss my dad? I definitely don’t miss my brothers. (softly) Fuck ‘em. Um, but uh, yeah. It just-- yeah. This is gonna work out. Heh heh." ― Ally Beardsley
Liam is being forced to stay with the royal family in Candia as a political prisoner. He enjoys foraging for seeds with Preston and isn't very interested in getting married. He is very independent and anxious about what other people think of him.

As the Colby is attacked and boarded by House Bleu marauders, Liam leave Annabelle and jumps over to the nearest marauder where he stands enshrouded in darkness and invisible to the attackers. One gets a lucky hit on him before a raging Amethar jumps aboard and joins the fray with the most of the Cheddar crew following. Together they tack out marauders on the ship. Moving forward on the deck Liam sees another marauder ship and despite the violent waves he shots his crossbow and kills its captain. The other ships crew begin to try and sail away from the fight.
WIthout Annabelle steering, the Colby sinks further causing waves to rock the smaller boats throwing Theobald, Jet, and Annabelle overboard. Amethar leaves Liam and Ruby as he see the trouble the rest of the group is in and jumps back onto the Colby and gets the last crew member to swing the ship towards the smaller boats. The ship sinks further downwards but it is not able to drag Amethar under the waves. However the waves knock Ruby overboard from the marauder ship but is able to jump back on board with the help of her father throwing a man and breaking the mast of the ship Liam is on. Seeing this and Cheddar crew mates fatally injured, Liam turns back to kill the remaining marauders on board with him. With a safe path Liam runs to the wheel and steers his ship over the sunken part of the Colby. Annabelle is finally able to climb to safety aboard and she take the wheel from Liam. The last Cheddar crew mate on the Colby along with their fallen friend also make it aboard. In the distance they see the farthest House Bleu marauder ship sail away without a captain. All injured Chedder crew are able to be stabilized except for the one the last crewmate drug on to the deck.
On the rowboat, Theobald, Jet, Amethar, and Cumulous are left with two marauders who promptly kneel and surrender. Cumulous kills one marauders and Jet kills the other. Primsy is brought onto the rowboat with the group and then they all board their new ship.
Safe Harbor[]
La Fondue sails in through a storm heading towards open sea. With most of the Cheddar sailors down the Rock family have to help sail the ship with Captain Annabelle who has lashed herself to the helm. As the storm passes the group are able to go below deck to rest. Having fought that morning in the cathedral and then on the Colby most of the group passes out due to exhaustion. Cumulous and Theobald stay up conversing about the monks and bonding over their mutual connection to Lazuli.
They awaken the next morning to the storm gone and the Cheddar crew gathered on deck for the funeral at seafor their fallen comrad with Annabelle presiding over. Afterwards Primsy emerges from below decks and invites the Royal House of Rocks to a parley in the captains quarters. There they tell Annabelle and Primsy the events that happened in the cathedral and what events led to Amethar's breaking his oath of marriage.hey also divulge to Annabelle and Primsy that Amethar was named the sucessor to the Concordant Emperor.
With in their down time as they voyage to the Dairy Islands Jet, Ruby, and Theobald research the Ramsian Doctrine is a belief concerning how the world ends. It says that the final destruction of The Hungry One by the Bulb and final salvation of all souls cannot occur till The Hungry one devours the world and their are certain souls that are delicious and health and other souls that are junk food (a curse word). It is the presence of these latter souls that is preventing the Hungry One from devouring the world and until those people are removed the final salvation cannot happen. Cumulous tells only the House of Rock members that Candia's are not normally magical, it is a curated magic from the Sugar Plum Fairy. The church knows that their power comes from others not having magic. During this conversation Ruby shocks Theo and Cumulous with the revelation that she sees Lazuli outside of her death vision.
La Fondue arrives to to the Dairy Island and continue sailing to the Cola River and arrive at Port Syrup. at the port are three sunken imperial warships. Annabelle and runs down a banner of House Cheddar with a smaller banner of House Rocks flying underneath. As they arrive at the harbor they see Manta Ray Jack and Sire Morris Brie. Amethar and Manta Ray Jack embrace and Manta Ray tells them of his escape with Sir Morris and how they managed to escape borderline and get word to Candia with the help of Calroy but unfortunately Lord and Lady Swirly were no so fortunate. For now Calroy and the Queen are holding Candia but Jawbreaker is in a tight spot. No Concordnt Emperor has been named and The Pontifex will not hold a Concordian Council till Candia is brought back into the fold. Till then she will be stewarding the Concord. Liam accidentally insults Sir Morris Brie when trying to compliment him who challenges him to a duel the ground of a morning field to which the group makes a large joke about how hot that sounds and they move on.
In the port the group is met with a royal welcome but the church bells that normally would ring do not. A report is given that there is violence in the mountains from with marauders, imperial attacks on House Jawbreaker, and forty imperial soldiers were in a passage with their blood smeared on the frosty mountainside saying "Long live the queen." There is also a notice of a call to musters for all various banner lords and vassals to report to the Castle Candy because a huge army is moving north from Comida cross the Cola River and attack Castle Candy.
Ruby communes with Lazuli via a mirror and conveys to the group that if they go straight mountains it will be worthless but if they go to Castle Candy their is a chance to take the army's and go north before heading back south to face off with the invading armies. Annabelle and Primsy bid farewell to the House of Rock as the sail back to Lacramor to muster the Dairy Islands and ensure the seas are not safe for any ship aiming for Candia. Sir Morris Brie stays to hold down the port while Manta Ray takes the group on the Babybel ship to Castle Candy. On the ship Liam attempts to flirt with Cumulous at his own prompting. It goes terribly but Cumulous is just at charisma deficient and approves. We find that all of these phases Liam has been using is based off what his 35 parents have said around him.
They arrive to Castle Candy at 4 in the morning. Ruby and Jet get tattoos from Manta Ray. The group walk up to Castle Candy and Theobald not so casually announces them to Limon. Limon hops off the wall and meets the group below. Things with Limon get dark but they are saved by the gate suddenly lowering. Queen Carmelinda sweeps the Jet and Ruby into an embrace. She reasures them that she is just happy to have them back safely. Theobald is commanded to take the princesses and prince Liam inside. Calroy runs out while pulling on his war pants. Calroy regards Cumulous with suspicion and the group has to inform them that Lapin sacrificed himself to save them. When the group minus Theobald and Amethar try to steal away the Queen puts her footdown trapping them in carmel and has them all go inside to get freshed up.The group notice Theo send a private message to the queen who only response with "Noted."
Amethar follows Carmelinda to her chambers to confront him. The rest of the group go with Ruby to place the last message of Lapin under the broken tea cup at the stone statues in a makeshift funeral. Liam goes and finds a pepermint heart seed and places it next to the tea cup for Preston while Cumulous sits down to meditate at the statue. Cumulous stays to meditate and the rest returns to the castle. Theobald parts ways the the princesses and prince to go on his patrols around the castle while subtly looking for Amethar.
Liam is dragged along on and adventure with the twins to the Dulcington lingerie shop because of a secret letter the two read meant for the queen that mentioned something hidden in the shops attic and also something to do with edible underwear. They get to the shop and break in and journey up to the attic where they all three find a chest with a gleam of gold. Only Liam sees four shapes move in the dark with water daggers. Liam attacks one with massive damage but does not fall him. Ruby is attacked by one assailant and Jet is attacked by two with water daggers. Ruby barely survives and Jet is downed and poisoned. Ruby badly injured casts invisibility and runs away to find Theobald. Liam grabs Jet and rope tricks out of sight. Senator Cibatta takes off his mask and orders the other three to find them.
Hidden in a veil of shadows Liam tries and fails to stabilize Jet as she is corroded by water. Liam hold her in their veil of shadows. Jet feels her locket glow. Ruby holds fast to her locket while running. Just as Ruby passes the bridge the locket goes out and Jet is dead. Liam hears Jet speak from another place tellling Liam to tell Ruby she loved her and she did the right thing. Jet feels a hand on her back and hears the voice of her aunt asaying good job soldier you got her home safe. There's still plenty of work to be done on this side. The two go off into the afterlife leaving Liam along in the attic holding the princesses body.
Blood and Bread[]
After Jet's passing, Liam wraps her body up in tearaway lingerie and hides her in a closet so that the party can come back for her. He rushes back to Castle Candy, meeting up with Cumulous, Amethar, and Ruby before being joined by Theo and Caramelinda. When Ruby tells the group that she saw Sir Keradin Deeproot is en route to the castle, Liam hesitates and debates staying so that he can avenge Preston and Lapin's deaths. He is ultimately swayed by Theo, Amethar, and Cumulous to save his vengeance for another day, when they know that they will win. The party runs away from the castle, with Liam guiding Amethar to find Jet's body before they are able to escape via Manta Ray Jack's ship.
At the Mountains of Sweetness[]
What is left of House Rocks holds a funeral ceremony on a farmside hilltop for Jet Rocks. During this ceremony, Liam is visibly sobbing and upset, although it later turns out that he was crying for Preston.
After the funeral, Liam speaks to Manta Ray Jack in an attempt to feel out his loyalty to Candia and any possible involvement with Jet's death. Manta Ray assures Liam of his loyalty and discusses how upset he was to have been believed Lord Calroy Cruller on their journey outside of Fructera. Liam's suspicions subside as he attempts to hold Manta Ray's hand and seems to be asking to cuddle with him. Manta Ray turns him down, clearly uncomfortable, and tells Liam to go back to his own bed. Liam apologizes, blaming his grief, and spends the rest of the night figuring out possible routes back to Castle Manylicks. Later, Amethar and Manta Ray meet with Liam to discuss their plan of reaching the castle, and with Liam's knowledge of the area, Manta Ray decides to accompany the party with some of his men, and the others will take the boat, disguised with House Cruller colors. Once on land, Liam is the primary guide and takes care of the rest of the party during their journey.
Their journey is interrupted when they come across a gingerbread child who appears to be in trouble. Though Liam is immediately distrustful and attempts to shoot the child, Theo rushes ahead to help and is caught in a net. The gingerbread child is revealed to be a 43-year old divorcee (or widower, depending on interpretation) named Swifty, and part of a group of fighters who tell the party they will bring them to their queen. After several threats, taunting, and no further explanation, Liam angrily attempts to shoot Swifty again, but is stopped by Theo, who takes the damage for Swifty.
Liam and the rest of the House of Rocks meet the self-appointed queen, Saccharina Frostwhip, who has been fighting Joren Jawbreaker for the crown. After exchanging pleasantries, Liam immediately asks to kill Swifty and escapes his chains, but they bond after sharing a bleak perspective of death and the human existence.

King Amethar of House Rocks[]
King of Candia and Liam's cousin. Liam is his ward, and thus travels wherever he does. Despite their family's conflict, they have a generally amicable relationship. Amethar is very protective of Liam while in Comida as people begin to suspect him of magic use. They both bond over being war guys, and Amethar often is proud with Liam's deadly fighting style in battles, as well as when he received Duchess Primsy Coldbottle's favor to fight in the Grand Tournament.
Sir Theobald Gumbar[]
Lord Commander of the Tartguard and Liam's favorite person. Theobald is in charge of watching over Liam while he stays at Castle Candy. Unlike the princesses, he's responsible when he leaves the castle and writes notes for Theobald to find, as well as leaving magical alarms that ping him whenever he's heading back home.
House Jawbreaker[]
Liam's family in the Great Stone Candy Mountains. He has at least six older brothers, four of which are the "mean" ones, including one named Grash, who weren't fortunate enough to find spouses and move out. Liam has spent his whole life being tortured by his brothers, and therefore isn't easily threatened. House Jawbreaker sent him to Castle Candy in order to retaliate against House Rocks for the disgrace they faces by their hand. They send him coded letters to relay threats against him to carry it out, as he doesn't agree with their motives. In a flashback, after escaping the Cathedral of Saint Arugula, we see that Liam's father, Duke Joren Jawbreaker was the one who gave him his pig, Preston, on his 14th Saint's Day.
Queen Caramelinda of House Rocks[]
The queen of Candia. She is very caring towards Liam and wants him to be comfortable during his time in Castle Candy as King Amethar's ward. She offers a potential solution—getting married—to help him return home to the mountains faster, where he enjoys being more than in Castle Candy.

Princess Jet Rocks[]
Jet initially teases Liam and tries to get him in trouble so that she can get out of it. However, they form a partnership after the attack on Sucrosi road when Jet asks Liam to help her keep Ruby safe for the rest of the journey. Liam agrees to this if Jet will find him a cool seed, which she vows to do. Liam grows closer to his cousin while in Comida while playing drinking games at a feast and later when he punches an unwanted suitor, Viscount Thaddeus, for her.
When Jet passes, Liam treats her body with respect by hiding it in a closet until the party can come back to get her, later telling Theobald that she deserved at least that, and that it was second nature for him. Though he doesn't mourn her at her own funeral, he tells Ruby that he will mourn her at the next funeral he attends and repeatedly agrees with Ruby that people will pay for Jet's death.
Princess Ruby Rocks[]
Like Jet, Ruby initially teases and causes trouble for Liam by trying to divert Theo's attention to potential escape attempts. Ruby continues to tease Liam by getting him wasted during a drinking game at a feast in Comida, but he quickly gains some respect from her after he wins the archery competition at the Grand Tournament the next day and quickly identifies Sir Keradin Deeproot as the person that attempted to assassinate Amethar. He quickly becomes more included in her shenanigans with Jet after this.
At the lingerie store, Liam tells Ruby to run away and get help, and Jet tells Liam to make sure Ruby knows her death is not her fault. Liam makes sure to save Jet's weapon and her locket, giving them to Ruby, but Ruby gives the locket to Liam, and they are sometimes able to use twin speak as she once did with Jet. The two bond over their losses and vows of vengeance frequently, especially when both feel that the rest of the group would rather search for immediate peace.
Peppermint Preston[]
Preston was Liam's beloved pet pig, given to him by his father, Joren Jawbreaker, as a birthday present, though Joren confuses Preston and Liam's names. Liam considers Preston to be his only friend and they often would go searching for seeds together.
The passing of Preston sends Liam into a deep grief and begins his journey as a gloom stalker and "war guy" as he seeks vengeance for his best friend.
Captain Annabelle Cheddar[]
When Liam first meets Captain Annabelle Cheddar, he is completely drunk. After the Grand Tournament and several failed attempts to have a nice conversation with her, Annabelle chastises Liam for being disrespectful and gives him pointers on how to better talk to people. From then on, their interactions seem to be warmer, Annabelle commenting on Liam's improvement.
Duchess Primsy Coldbottle[]
Liam meets Primsy at the feast before the Grand Tournament when he asks if she has made him a milk silk embroidery like the ones she gave Jet and Ruby. Embarrassed, Primsy profusely apologizes and instead gives him her favor to fight for at the Grand Tournament. Liam wonders to his cousins if there is a sexual implication to that, and then later is surprised to find out from Annabelle Cheddar that Primsy is secretly courting Lord Stilton Curdeau.
Once back at Castle Manylicks, Primsy reunites with Liam and asks if he still has her favor. He confirms he does and holds up the handkerchief as proof, asking if she wants it back. Primsy tells Liam to keep it and thanks him for his bravery while fighting House Bleu. The two awkwardly flirt as Primsy heavily hints at wanting to court Liam, and after nervously confirming that Primsy is okay with his asexuality, Liam agrees that he has been looking for a political marriage himself. The two hold hands and take a walk through the garden as their courtship begins.

When Liam first meets Saccharina, he is mostly overwhelmed with the urge to kill Swifty. After talking more to Saccharina, he initially finds her to be so polite that it is unnerving. Later, he bonds with her when she agrees to look at his book of seeds. Liam goes back and forth on his opinion of Saccharina, especially when talking to Ruby, who is very cold towards Saccharina.

- Liam's last name is a reference to Wilhelmina Peppermints.
- He likes to collect a seed from every place he goes, which he keeps in a little book.
- He seems to be developing a bad habit of making unintentionally yet incredibly horny comments to people. This might have something to do with an upbringing of 35 parents who all sound very purposefully horny.
