Description[]
Limon is a lemon cough drop. Because of his status as a cough drop, which is somewhat of a "lesser" candy type since it's medicinal, he is very self-deprecating and will willingly beat himself up and injure himself in anticipation of others doing it to him, whether or not people actually want to treat him that way. He always assumes the worst and takes everything very personally.
History[]
There is Strength in Sweetness[]
Limon is first introduced tumbling down a hill into a grotto in the peppermint forest outside Castle Candy, where he encounters Liam Wilhelmina. It appears that he was still looking for the Princesses Jet and Ruby Rocks, unaware that they'd already been retrieved.
They talk briefly about Limon's paranoia that everyone wants to beat him up and throw him down the stairs, which usually drives him to injuring himself first in anticipation for it. When people are nice to him and tell him no one actually wants to throw him down the stairs, he claims its because they just want to lull him into a false sense of security. Liam suggests heading back to the castle together before retracting the offer because Limon just yells too much. Of course, Limon takes this extremely personally, and throws himself down another hill.
When the Queen is speaking to King Amethar, she mentions one of the squires breaking all the windows in the main spiral staircase in the tall tower by hurling himself down the steps. This squire was most likely Limon. Amethar thought that was pretty funny.
Limon accompanies the party on their caravan, where his excessively critical self-talk once again gets on someone's nerves. Chancellor Lapin Cadbury less-than-gently dismisses him to the back of the caravan by telling him that Lord Swirlie, who also irritates him, wants to speak to him.
Ambush on the Sucrosi Road[]
During the ambush, Theobald orders Limon to assist Ruby with whatever she tries to do. She proceeds to use him as a perch to stand on while she fires arrows on their attackers, and she compliments his strong stance before remarking under her breath that he wobbled a bit. Later, he misses an attack of opportunity on one of the bandits and laments his failure. Lapin also uses him to break his fall when jumping down from the wagon although less successfully than Ruby. Limon again offers his assistance to Ruby and is asked to stand very still and not do anything as that would be most helpful.
Keep Sharp[]
When the battle is over, the party thanks Limon for all the crucial help he provided by letting people step on his face. Before they leave, Amethar asks Limon to chase Master Dippins out of the tree he had run up.
Safe Harbor[]
When the royal party returns to Castle Candy, Limon greets them at the gates by expressing his shock that the King and his daughters are alive. When asked how he survived the escape from Comida, he reveals that he covered himself in fruit pig feces to conceal his Candian nature and crawled up the Glucian Road, apparently being kicked by passers-by along the way. Cumulous then sentences Limon to death (seemingly intended as a mercy kill) before being stopped by the rest of the party.
