Lola is at the park, chasing after her dog Rover, when she receives a call from Sam Nightingale asking her about Tectonya Karkovnya. Lola shares that she did know Tectonya when they were younger in a networking group of genasi women. Lola mentions a disagreement that Tectonya had with Charity Blythe at a party before her disappearance, and then meets Sam for lunch that day.
