Description[]
Sir Finnegan Swirlie is a lord in Castle Candy made of ice cream. He is eager to join the party on their envoy, as traveling to the capital of Comida is an excellent opportunity for improving his social standing. He seems like he could be fun at parties.
History[]
There is Strength in Sweetness[]
Lord Swirlie is first introduced as the party begins to make preparations for their journey to Comida. He, along with Lady Whipperly, attempt to sweet-talk (ha) King Amethar and the rest of them into letting them come along for the ride. Amethar agrees to take Lord Swirlie with them, as he seems like he could be fun at parties.
Ambush on the Sucrosi Road[]
During the battle on the Sucrosi Road, Lord Swirlie stays hidden in his carriage, frightened by the fighting occurring outside. When the party finds him there after the combat has ceased, he tells them that in the north, he encounters cheesy brigands like the ones they just fought all the time. Although he is ice cream and is loyal to Candia, Chancellor Lapin Cadbury and Sir Theobald Gumbar don't seem to trust his allegiances.
Keep Sharp[]
Upon arriving in Comida, Lord Swirlie offers to help King Amethar and stay by his side to introduce him to anyone and remind him of names. Instead of taking this offer, Amethar asks him to welcome the Senators of Ceresia, and keeps Calroy Cruller by his side instead.
The Grand Tournament[]
During the Grand Tournament, he can be seen sitting in the Imperial box, alongside Chancellor Lapin and Lady Swirlie, his wife. Lapin requests that they each hold two glasses of wine for when King Amethar has finished in the melee, but then Swirlie gets pushed, spilling them on Archbishop Fettucina Alfredi, blinding her temporarily.
Lapin's Big Day[]
When House Rocks need to discuss important information, Lady Donetta Cruller keeps Lord Swirlie and his wife busy so they can't interfere.
Safe Harbor[]
Lord and Lady Swirlie are said to have been killed in Comida.
