Background[]
In 1885, the sarcophagus of Pharaoh Salamander V arrived at the British Museum. Using this sarcophagus and the occult rumors of a curse that surrounded it, Lord Ignatius concocted a plan to use tinctures from America to make it appear as if he had died and come back to life so that his son, Fletcher Cottonbottom, could collect the insurance payout. Unfortunately for him, his personal physician at the time, Detective Sylvester Cross, caught onto his scheme and exposed him, proving the "curse" false. The revelation forever ruined the Cottonbottom reputation, forcing his son to step out of the public eye in order to continue his criminal machinations.
