To the waking world, Misiek appears to be a chihuahua. In reality, he is an incredibly tiny, very old, oh, so sick little dragon. He enjoys jerky.
History[]
The Fall of New York City[]
Misiek is first introduced as Iga Lisowski returns to her room after delivering extra blankets to her daughter Jessica Lisowski's sleepover. She arrives back upstairs to find the chest in her room is askew, and the carved trees are swaying. Misiek crawls out from behind the bed and she asks him if he's seen the chest do this before, and as he observes the trees, he whines and arches his back, retreating back to the bed. Iga goes to pick him up, but he runs and hides underneath her pillow. As she moves towards him, the chest begins to convulse and warp the space in the room. The chest sprouts roots and leaves and begins to slam violently from the ceiling to the floor.
Iga attempts to wrestle with the chest to stop it as the light coming from within it cycles through a rainbow of colors and something inside appears to be attempting to wrench the chest open. She is able to finally slam it shut, cutting the light off. The carved trees, which had decorated the outside of the chest for generations, are now skyscrapers. Misiek inspects the chest, and Iga sees two people on the buildings: she recognizes one as Sofia Lee; the other is Ricky Matsui.
We Need to Talk About Cody[]
Misiek accompanies Iga, Cody and Ricky (along with Ana and Amelia) to the pocket dimension within Iga's chest. He appears distressed and unsettled by the shrinking of the magical forest within the dimension.
