On a Bus is a season of Dimension 20. It premiered its first and only episode on July 14, 2025. It is the first and only season of Dimension 20 to be Dragon Mastered by Katie Marovitch.
This episode was produced for $3,500 and was funded entirely as part of Rekha Shankar's bid on Game Changer's season 7 episode, Fool's Gold.
Synopsis[]
"Katie DMs a Dimension 20 campaign. My players, the best DMs in the world, all forced to sit through whatever bullshit I come up with. Perhaps we're on a bus or in an Uber. I haven't put much thought into it. Whatever it is, the results are sure to be upsetting. Not just to DnD fans, but specifically to Brennan. And what does the internet love more than an upset Brennan?" ― Katie, pitching 'On a Bus'.
Setting[]
This season is set in Los Angeles, California; presumably in the real world. More specifically, the players are in a bus in North Hollywood on their way to Los Angles International Airport (LAX).
System[]
This season uses a fully custom system that goes unnamed, which fans have dubbed simply as "Six". In it, players roll 1d6: if they roll a 6, they succeed; if they roll anything else, they fail.

Trivia[]
- This is the last appearance of Brennan Lee Mulligan on Dimension 20 prior to him stepping away from TTRPGs and focusing on his true passion of making shoes for American Girl Dolls.
- This is the shortest season in Dimension 20 history.
- This season had no involvement from Rick Perry.
- Mark's character Lint had food in it during the filming of the episode.
- An Adventuring Party was set to be filmed directly after the episode, yet has not been released.
- Jasmine's character is never explicitly named in the campaign, however it can be deduced from process of elimination.
- This is the first to be released in full for free on YouTube in vertical format. The 16:9 version is still locked behind a paywall.
- The initial pitch of On a Bus mentioned an Uber as a possible setting. To date, no episode featuring an Uber has aired.
- Despite the campaign’s name, the “bus” prop is, in fact, a bright pink plastic Barbie Dream Camper™ vehicle playset. Retailers such as Walmart refer to it as a van, though its design more closely resembles a recreational vehicle (RV) than any form of public transit. The styling and California location of the vehicle indicate it is likely an iconic Type-2 Volkswagon microbus manufactured presumably before 1974 in order to be licensed and drivable in California without passing modern safety or emissions testing. The mismatch between the title and set design is never acknowledged during the episode. The item regularly retails for $65.99, which, with sales tax near Dropout’s filming location, brings the total to $72.26 or about 2.06% of the episode’s stated $3,500 production budget. (Don't let this misdirection fool you - collectable VW buses sell at auction for over $100K).
- The player Aabria Iyengar consumes her character within the first minute of the episode, however this is not addressed further.
- This is the third time a Dimension 20 cast member has consumed game props, the first being Brennan's sugar dice and the second being Comfrey MacLeod's fruit snacks.
- While Lou puts the orange hat in his mouth and Brennan puts a peacock feather in his mouth; these items are not consumed.*

- Katie begins the narration with "Air", completing the elements cycle started by Brennan with "Fire" in EXU: Calamity, carried on by Mark Mercer in The Ravening War with "Water", and then "Earth" by Aabria in Burrow's End.
- It has been speculated by many fans that the stress of filming this season may have contributed to Brennan's decision to leave Dropout and focus on designing American Girl Doll shoes.
