Description[]
"I would say which African country I am from, but there was a magic spell that was cast on me. So whenever I say the country name, people just hear Wakanda ... I did not think that there was any point of the NAMPs until I heard Tevin Campbell. And like the great words of Tevin Campbell, "I will stand out above the crowd. I will make it loud." I am now team captain of the first magi aerobics dance team ... Indeed, my ancestors have called me there. I am a dance fighter from Hell." ― Markeia McCarty
Personality[]
Premium is a stereotypical rich kid in that she has a high sense of self to the point of arrogance. However, she can be very supportive, as seen when she compliments her dance teammate, Raclette. To her, "Evil is as evil does," and, therefore, the concept of evil (and being put in the Aqrabus House) is just semantics. She feels her ancestors have called her to her dance vocation, and, as a result, she is a "dance fighter from Hell," and finds the downbeat of the Mortal Kombat movie theme always pumps her up.
Appearance[]
Her skin tone matches the player (Markeia)'s, and she has holographic hair.
Background[]
Premium's last name, Va-Casians, rhymes with Kardashians, of which she has only recently learned. She is the captain of the first magi aerobics dance team, a club she started weeks before her first introduction. She also bottles her own sweat which she sells on Etsy called Premium Sweat. She takes something her friend Dangerwolf Darkhark says to create the brand's tagline: "Renewed, reinvigored, and ready for the day."
History[]
When she was first placed in Aqrabus, she had a hard time adjusting to being placed in the "evil" house, since she thought she was a good person. She had come to Gowpenny with the intention to merely study, but was told her bloodline was more important. However, once she redefined the definition of what evil meant (ie what other people think is evil is just reality to her, particularly the thought of being better than people who were not born rich), she was able to accept it.
Relationships[]
Andre Henreek[]
Andre is a fellow Aqurabus housemate. He is also Premium's best customer of Premium Sweat, her sweat selling side business. According to him, it smells like smells like champagne, baby powder, cinnamon, and just plain sweat.
Raclette Camembert[]
Raclette is the only other member of the magi aerobics dance team, and feels Premium is objectively older and cooler than her. However, back at the tower, Premium refuses to allow her to make eye contact, saying it's better than they keep their friendship "on the down low," which makes Raclette very excited. When first introduced, the two are practicing together, the former trying to match the latter beat for beat. She doesn't initially get it, so Premium decides to turn the music on the help her teammate "feel" it (the theme to the movie Mortal Kombat). As the two dance enthusiastically to the Mortal Kombat movie theme, Premium is very supportive, saying that Raclette is making their house and her family proud. She is able to relate to Raclette since both had issues with being sorted into Aqrabus House. Premium explains to her that "evil" is just a word, and what people do is what is actually evil (and the "hero" house acts evil plenty). Raclette asks if they can perform at the upcoming Scuppers game, to which Premium reveals that she has something planned. She figures, since Raclette is so good at following her moves, she doesn't need to teach her the routine. When Raclette mentions she's going to go back to the tower because she's sweaty, Premium tries to convince her to bottle her sweat and sell it as a side venture. Initially unconvinced, she says she might come around to the idea.
Later, during the distraction that ulitmately takes the place of the Rivalry Week Scupper's game with Hercinil, Raclette does perform the routine that she and Premium had intended. Their dance somehow manages to look like the cheerleading routine from the film Bring it On, despite neither having actually seen it.
Sylvie Ecclentripe[]
Premium first meets Sylvie along with the rest of the Magical Misfits after Hercinil House pulls a prank on Aqrabus Tower, and Sylvie is there to help clean up. She tells Sylvie that she thinks she's incredibly smart, incredibly charming, and so "incredibly going to help [them]. Otherwise, [she] will have to pull some spines," though specifies that the spine won't be Sylvie's. After Sylvie laments her lot as a member of Messanteu, Premium is able to relate and inspire her explaining that if people are going to force them to become a certain person, they can and will be the best of that person they can be. She then offers a bottle of Premium Sweat to help with her magic. While Sylvie knows it won't work with her curse, she decides to buy one anyway, and Premium then offers her a spot on the Aqrabus dance team.
Troxie Darling[]
Troxie Darling is Premium's familiar. They are described as "basically nightmare fuel," consisting of a lion's head on a snake's body with indeterminate wings (though they might be angelic) and a rat's tail. He is a limited edition, rich kid's family pet, and, as such, there is only one in existence. Every day Troxie hopes will be his last, since he knows he is not a cat, and is, in fact, a mistake. When fighting Fergus Ponst, it is revealled Troxie can throw up skeletons bigger than his entire body. Later, during the fight with the Effiel Tower golem, Premium uses Troxie to paint the tower red and gold ie the colors of Hercinil House, so that, no matter what, Hercinil will be blamed. He does this by shooting out colored snot from one of its nostrils.
Trivia[]
- In her home country of not-Wakanda, fish rain from the sky.
- Premium has only seen two movies: Mortal Kombat and Black Widow.
