Prompocalypse Part 2 is the seventeenth and final episode of season 1, Fantasy High.

Recap[]

"Ally: Can I roll for a nat 20 and then be alive? Brennan: Sure, go for it. (Ally rolls a nat 20.)"

Synopsis[]

Following the cliff-hanger ending of the previous episode, Kristen appears before the corny gates which open before her. She notices a young Doreen who tells her that Sol has been closed in his office for a while and asks Kristen to tell Adaine that she didn't mean what she said as she was dying.

Kristen approaches Sol's office and the angels outside let her in after telling her that Sol hasn't allowed them inside in some time but wishes to see Kristen. Inside the office Kristen sees Sol unconscious on the ground and Arthur Aguefort standing on the desk in a shirt, tie and boxers. Arthur tells Kristen that she is "just in time" and that Sol is just unconscious not dead.

Arthur explains manically to Kristen that he was being poisoned and had to kill himself to regain his intellect, and when he arrived in heaven he knocked out Sol and has been running heaven behind the angels backs ever since. Kristen recommends anti-psychotic medication to Arthur. Afterwards, Arthur reveals that Goldenhoard is Kalvaxus and Kristen explains that they already know and are fighting him, Arthur directs Kristen to a door that leads to the void, the source of all divine energy. He tells her that if she wants answers, the void is where gods go for theirs.

Kristen walks into the void, a space of endless potential. She hears a voice that tells her to ask the question she has been wondering. Kristen asks, "Why and who?". The voice in the void tells Kristen that, "The universe doesn't have a why". After checking with the voice that it doesn't care who she sleeps with, Kristen learns that 'As above, so below [...] If you choose to care, then the universe cares. If you don't then it doesn't. Kristen replies, "I care." As she says those words, she feels warmth and happiness from the void and the voice asks what god would be worthy of her worships. Kristen replies "An enthusiastic 'YES!' floating in the sky." YES! appears in front of Kristen and tells her they care about her and is happy to be her god.

Kristen appears back in the office and fills Arthur in on her new god, and tells him she is already not sure she made the right choice. Arthur crawls into Kristen's backpack and tells her to walk out of heaven without stopping or else he will "jump out and start shooting". At the corny gates, the guardian angel begins to stop Kristen but Arthur, true to his word, jumps out and shoots the angel before he can intervene. Kristen and Arthur run through the gates and jump, falling back to earth. As they fall, Arthur tells Kristen he will be distracted when they arrive back, but that they have "all the time they need" to save her friends. Arthur asks Kristen to remember what he said was the greatest magic of all, and she replies "friendship". Arthur is disgusted by her answer and gives her the real answer - chronomancy. Just before they land in their bodies in the gym, Arthur points out to Kristen his watch around her neck.

Immediately as Arthur appears in the gym and begins to speak to Kalvaxus, Mr. Gibbons' spectral form appears and begins to possess Arthur's body. Kristen holds the watch and clicks the button on the top, and suspends time for 12 hours, choosing only the members of The Bad Kids, Gorthalax, Sklonda and Jawbone to be exempt from the time stop. Kristen heals all the party members who are unconscious.

The Bad Kids and Gorthalax prepare to bed down for a long rest, and Jawbone, trapped inside Kalvaxus's mouth, makes himself comfortable. Fig, Gorgug and Gorthalax have a jam session and Fabian attempts to stab Dayne Blayde but is stopped by the time suspension. Sklonda shows up, confused by the time stop, and Riz fills her in on the situation. He reveals to her that Kalvaxus was behind his father's death, so Sklonda tells Riz that they will get revenge. Riz, Adaine and Fig notice Gorthalax and Sklonda sharing a moment. The Bad Kids and their allies complete the rest and begin to prepare for the moment when the time stop will end.

Kristen hands Jawbone her book armed with spiritual weapon and asks him to throw it down Kalvaxus's throat, but changes her mind before he can. Kristen then blesses the entire party. All The Bad Kids besides Adaine and Kristen (on opposite rafters) mount Kalvaxus to prepare a surprise attack. Adaine gives Gorthalax her wand which he breaks and reforms into a pick, giving his guitar properties of ice.

When time resumes, Kalvaxus reacts with shock at the change in his surroundings. Fig casts Reckless Shred, giving Kalvaxus disadvantage on all saving throws against damage-dealing spells, and then uses Dissonant Whispers against him, dealing 22 damage. In response, Kalvaxus hits her with his tail, doing 16 points of damage. Fig also winks at Riz, giving him Bardic Inspiration. Gorgug attacks Kalvaxus, hitting on 2 attacks. Kalvaxus reacts and knocks everyone but Fabian off his back (and spits Jawbone out of his mouth). Ragh gets up, confused, and reaffirms his sexuality, before slitting Kalvaxus's crotch. Fig tries to encourage Ragh by pretending to be Dayne, but ultimately makes him sad about Dayne's death.

Riz gets up and shoots at Kalvaxus, which takes one of his eyes out. When Kalvaxus asks angrily what just happened, Arthur, still possessed by Mr Gibbons, identifies the time stop as the power of his watch. Riz then runs to hide. Jawbone runs towards Kalvaxus, and Sklonda shoots some disorientating shots to give Riz advantage on attack rolls.

Fabian action surges at Kalvaxus and attacks him four times (hitting on three of the four), performing elaborate acrobatics whilst he does so and landing on The Hangman. Adaine casts Lightning Bolt. After both of these attacks, Kalvaxus is starting to become seriously wounded. Kristen jumps into Kalvaxus's mouth, dives down his throat and casts Spirit Guardians inside of him, summoning her new YES! God, as well a couple philosophers who offer "15 Philosophy Quotes You've Never Heard Of", and Arthur attempts to telekinetically fly across the room but instead hits the wall and falls to the ground. Kalvaxus hits Adaine with his tail, but because Adaine has cast Shield on herself, it doesn't knock her unconscious. Kalvaxus takes damage from Kristen's Spirit Guardians, and then uses his Breath Weapon on Fig and Riz, but they both successfully throw dexterity saving rolls. Gorthalax attempts to cast a spell on Kalvaxus, who uses his last Legendary Resistance to avoid it.

Kalvaxus picks up Sklonda and threatens to eat her. Fig tries to cast Fear on him, which fails, and bestows Bardic Inspiration on Riz. As Kalvaxus goes to devour Sklonda, Gorgug grabs her out of his hands and takes her to safety on the rafters. Kalvaxus then deals 15 points of damage to Fabian. Ragh swings at Kalvaxus but misses. Riz Uncanny Dodges a hit from Kalvaxus and takes 9 points of damage.

As Kalvaxus lunges at Riz, Riz uses the Sword of Shadows to teleport above Kalvaxus and sinks his sword in the dragon's skull for 24 points of damage. Kalvaxus, in his death throes spits out Kristen, who is then caught by Gorthalax. As Kalvaxus falls, Riz gets his revenge for the kidnapping of his babysitter and the murder of his father. Riz and Sklonda start eating Kalvaxus.

In the aftermath Arthur has Adaine re-read the prophecy, which also can be interpreted to mean that the Kalvaxus can be utterly destroyed, the subsequent statement about the sun falling from the heavens is swiftly fulfilled when the Sol, still bound and beaten falls to the ground. Gorgug in an uninspired moment asks if Arthur is his father and is told that Arthur was going to ask him the same thing, to his confusion.

The police arrive, far to late to help with anything and are slapped by members of the party when they issue instructions for everyone to freeze. The captured girls arrive on griffins, wanting to have their revenge. Kristen binds Kalvaxus and revives him just enough to be killed again by the wronged maidens.

The Bad Kids use their free wish for ice cream, which blankets the whole auditorium. Outside the Auditorium as they are preparing the leave Gorgug speaks with an Orc member of the band who asks him if he knows any half-Orcs that might be the son he gave up for adoption when he and his human girlfriend were far too young to be raising a child. A locket showing a picture of him and his girlfriend with the Thistlesprings prove that he is actually Gorgug's father. Apparently he has been asking if people are his son almost as much as Gorgug has been asking about his father. Zelda emerges from the Auditorium briefly to confirm he got her playlist.

Agent Angela Worrel turns up wanting the kids to be re-arrested Fig disguises herself as her and Arthur appears confused and asks Fig what to do, when Fig says that the real Angela should be arrested he freezes the real agent in a block of ice. When Fig relents and reverts to her usual form he says he will handle this "the correct way" and with a wave of his hand all the federal agents suddenly perceive no wrongdoing at the school and wander off.

Back in the hall Kalvaxus is a bloody mess and a massive party has broken out among the raining ice cream. Arthur asks if Gorthalax wants to "make sure" and Gorthalax opens a flaming window on the floor showing hell, Arthur, Gorthalax and the party step through "for a minute". Gorthalax corrects a clerical error that would have erroneously sent Gorgug to hell. Kalvaxus is reflecting how how poorly things went for him when Bill Seacaster appears and buries a sword in his back splitting him in two, telling Fabian he's proud of him. Bill's crew start pulling Kalvaxus apart to turn him into a ship to raid hell with as he has designs on the throne fo the night pit. He tells Fabian that his mother is the greatest fencer that ever lived and was responsible for him losing his eyes. The spatchcocked, but still "living" ship Kalvaxus flies off into the distance with the crew aboard.

Back through the portal in the land of the living Fig asks if Arthur will make Gilear the vice-principle and he agrees despite not knowing who Gilear is.

Adaine casts locate person on Zayn Darkshadow, at Cravencroft Cemetery, Edgar rushes to a grave while in the distance the undertaker has an accident on his penny farthing. The ghost of Zayn is sobbing at his grave. He apologises for what he did and he and Adaine commiserate about their terrible Elven parents. Riz hangs his bandoleer over his fathers gravestone and tells him that he ate some of the dragon that killed him.
