Description[]
Queen Pamelia is a blackberry woman originally from Fructera, and wears robes of deep blues and purples. Pamelia is an incredibly potent queen. Bishop Raphaniel Charlock, while detecting her thoughts, is able to tell that she is a guarded empathic entity.
Background[]
Pamelia was a Fructeran noble before she married King Jadain of House Rocks and became queen. The two ended up having five children: princesses Rococoa, Lazuli, Citrina, and Sapphria, and Prince Amethar. As her daughters grew into their own, they formed somewhat of an alliance against her, as they did not agree with her stance on The Ravening War. She had ties with Count Jacques Tomaté, and her opinion on the war as being a source of opportunity contributed to Candia's isolationism.
History[]
The Seeds of Conflict[]
The queen arrives in Comida along with her daughter, Princess Citrina, during the Festival of Saint Eggamere. The two are first introduced during the ball being held at the Cornucopian Hall. She is one of the few to acknowledge Queen Amangeaux by her married name and title of Cardoon, which she greatly appreciates. She is greatly distrustful of Bishop Raphaniel Charlock, and, in turn, the growing authoritarianism of the Bulbian Church.
Yonder Where the Fruit Do Be Lyin'[]
On the 9th day of Frostdusk, the year of the Bulb 1190, The Fellowship of Destiny's Architects assign Bishop Raphaniel Charlock, Queen Amangeaux, Thane Delissandro Katzon, Colin Provolone, and Karna Solara to assassinate Pamelia in Fructera (though did not tell the assassins the nature of their target). During the ambush, she is stabbed repeatedly by Delissandro. Bishop Charlock blows up her carriage shortly after, killing her, much to his, and the entire group's horror at the realization of her identity.
When confronting FDA about why should be the target, they explain that Queen Rocks's death will ultimately lead to more turmoil in the land (as Candia, previously neutral, would now surely join the Ravening War), spoiling it. This, in turn, would ensure Calorum being less of a target to be consumed by the evils of the Hungry One as He does not eat food that is spoiled. Therefore, while tragic, her death was necessary in order to save all of Calorum.
