Ariana is a voluptuous, middle-aged woman with twisting pasta hair that descends into a ponytail. She has pale, tawny skin decorated in bands and jewelry. She wears a perfume that smells like caramel and oats.
History[]
The Seeds of Conflict[]
Senator is present in Comida as a representative of Ceresia during the Festival of Saint Eggamere, arriving alongside her father, Senator Enzo Carbano. As she converses with her nephew, Delissandro Katzon, it's clear the two are very much in a flirtatious relationship, she even telling him that she wants to "slam it down big style." This is further confirmed when Deli later receives a blackmail letter from the mysterious FDA containing a love note from Ariana to him.
Yonder Where the Fruit Do Be Lyin'[]
After the the Scrumptious Scoundrels carry out their shocking task given to them by the Fellowship, the Architects exit their room in the Great Pyramid of Food. Both Deli and Karna Solara smell a perfume of one of the mysterious FDA members: caramel and oats, Gemelli's perfume.
The Light and the Shadow[]
As the Imperator Focaccia gains more and more power within Ceresia, Senator Gemelli makes a point to ingratiate herself to him, creating, not only a political alliance between them, but a sexual one. One night, Karna confronts her about this, as well as her knowledge of Gemelli's involvement with the FDA. As payment for her silence, Ariana agrees to help Solara create a foothold and network for herself in Ceresia.
The Heart of the World[]
The Scrumptious Scoundrels find Senator Ariana along with Archbishop Camille Colliflour in the center of Saprophus, the original intent to release rot into the center of the Battle of Pangranos, destroying a significant amount of leaders and armies of Calorum (and, therefore, make it less appealing for the Hungry One). However, when the archbishop reveals that she was actually intending to bring forth her god of destruction, Deus-Pa'Zuul, to their world, Gemelli is caught completely off guard. She is ultimately killed by being sucked into one of Deus-Pa'Zuul's disposal voids.

Thane Delissandro Katzon[]
Ariana is incredibly flirtatious with Deli, despite being older than him and his aunt. From the beginning, it is clear that she uses this flirtation to wield political influence over Deli and, by extension, the Meat Lands, as she quickly asks him about the current political state between the clans, then suggests, while glancing over at Senator Focaccia, that Deli must unite the clans before she can visit him so they can finally "slam it down big style." She also manipulatively caters to Deli's pride, calling his mother "a mouthpiece and a piece of meat" while framing Ceresians, and Deli, as inherently well-read and wise.
Senator Enzo Carbano[]
Ariana helps Enzo walk into the Cornucopian Hall in Comida during the Festival of Saint Eggamere. During a somewhat awkward moment between Enzo and Chieftess Cleva Katzon, Ariana steps in. She assures Deli and the Chieftess that Enzo, her father, is merely tired from the journey and gently suggests he gets another drink or two.

- The sexual tension between Ariana and Deli is likely an overt nod to the infamous relationship between aunt and nephew (Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, respectively) in Game of Thrones, the original inspiration and parody source for A Crown of Candy, as well as the relationship between uncle and niece (Daemon Targaryen and Rhaenyra Targaryen) in its prequel series, House of the Dragon.
