Spring Break! I Believe In You! (Part 1) is the nineteenth episode and part one of the finale of Fantasy High: Sophomore Year.

"Spring break started with our teen heroes, the Bad Kids, who successfully defeated their vice principal at the end of prom at the end of freshman year. We're now on their spring break sophomore year to retrieve the Crown of the Nightmare King. They've gone to the pirate city of Leviathan, they've gone to the elven homeland of Fallinel, to the gnomish and wood elf conclave of Arborly, and deep into the heart of the Nightmare Forest to retrieve the crown of the Nightmare King. They've discovered the four transubstantiations, they have followed the Abernant family, Adaine's family, deep into the forest, they have saved each other, made new friends and allies, and now they have faced their greatest fears. Five of our intrepid heroes made it all the way to the heart of the Nightmare King's forest, facing the unknown, all of the dread that these dark woods could put upon them. However, one we still presume to be dead. How dead remains to be seen as we conclude the story of Fantasy High: Sophomore Year!"
"Last we left Kristen, you were in the Chapel of the Unnamed Goddess. After having rolled a Nat 20 Religion check, you communed with a voice from beyond. The voice was filled with cold, icy bitterness and rage. And as you spoke, saying "I have praise to offer you," the voice responded, "What praise will you have in death?" You watched as the horn of a skeletal unicorn burst through your rib cage, covered in blood, and you collapsed to the ground. Dead."
Synopsis[]
Kristen Applebees, after being killed by the skeletal unicorn in the Temple to the Goddess of Mystery. finds herself walking the forest when she encounters a sign by Helio. She finds herself in the plane of Elysium, facing her former god Helio, Sol and Galicaea. Galicaea offers her patronage, while trying to dissuade her from her pursuit of Doubt, she tells Kristen that the Nightmare King killed her sister, the mystery goddess. But Kristen refuses Galicaea's patronage and reaches out to the mystery goddess again. Seeing that Kristen is reaching out to her again, the mystery goddess weeps, apologizes and tells Kristen she is scared. Galicaea rips Kristen out of her vision, revealing her wolf side. Kristen sees that Galicaea hates her wolf side, which is the side Tracker worships. Galicaea self loathing comes from how her followers on the material plane envision her, who in a large capacity are the High Elves of Fallinel. After rejecting Galicaea's offer, Kristen runs and punches Helio in the face. Kristen escapes the plane of Elysium with the help of her Spirit Guardian philosophers.
Fabian and Gorgug find themselves in a cave overlooking the ocean and the forest. They eventually make their way to the top and find a very injured Baxter, who has been attacked by Sandra Lynn and is dying of heartbreak. Gorgug cures him and they make their way out of the cave to find rest of their friends.
In the Forest of the Nightmare king, Adaine is still trapped within the orb by her family. As she talks to her family, she realizes that her mother truly doesn't know who she is and how to love her. Adaine's father, Angwyn, threatens violence on her to 'fix' her daughter. Once her mother leaves to complete the ritual to bring back the Nightmare King, her father orders Aelwyn to find out everything Adaine knows about their plans and where the rest of the bad kids are. Adaine quickly remembers all the time Aelwyn almost helped her but didn't because of their parents, the only good memories she has of Aelwyn. When Aelwyn sees this and Adaine's memory of casting Detect Thoughts on Aelwyn after the events of Calethriel Tower, Aelwyn turns on her father, overcome with emotions that her sister still chose to love her. Angwyn attacks Aelwyn, seeing this, Adaine dispels the orb and uses Adaine's Furious Fists with a 5th level spell slot to attack her father, killing him. Before falling unconscious, Aelwyn confesses to Adaine that she killed the previous Oracle so Adaine could become the new Oracle. Adaine casts invisibility on herself and sets out to find her friends.
Fig and Riz, who have been captured by a hoard of demons try to escape their bounds but fail. Fig gets a message from Bill Seacaster about her cut from the treasures he stole from the Bottomless Pit and he tells her that he has sold the six sets of the Armor of Sin. Fig realizes that there are seven sets, not six. As she comes to this conclusion, the Armor of Sin pops out of Riz's briefcase and inside stands her step-father, Gilear. He has come to save the day! Gilear kills all the demons, and falls dead. Fig uses the illusionary-to-reality capability of the forest to make a diamond and revive Gilear.
