The Goblin Court is the home of K. P. Hob (played by Brennan Lee Mulligan), a high ranking officer of their military. He gains little respect there due to his uptight nature, which clashes visibly with the chaotic, mischevious nature of his fellow goblins.

The Goblin Court maintains a fairly standard royal hierarchy, with a king, several lords and ladies, and a viscountess (although Grabalba sometimes is referred to as a princess instead of a viscountess.) They had previously gone to war with the Unseelie Court for unknown reasons, as well as a failed political marriage between their own Viscountess Grabalba, and Prince Apollo of the Court of Wonder.

The Court either contains or consists of a dark forest, and is one of the few fey courts that do not have magic.

A lot of other courts look down on the Goblin Court, although Prince Andhera defends them and admonished the practice of treating them unfairly in Of One Mind.

The Goblin Court consists of various forms of goblins off all shapes and sizes. For example, salt goblins, tiny goblins that are only a few inches tall, and only live for around six hours. Meanwhile, bugbears, like Hob, can be over 7" tall. Much like Prince Andhera's yeth hound Grandpa Dog, many Goblins have grandpa face.

Inhabitants[]

Customs[]

  • The Code of Goblin Chivalry contains the Court's ideals of mischief, mayhem, sneakery, rumpus, and ruin. However, rumpus and ruin are often paired together and are the most frequently brought up by members of the court.
  • The Goblin court has multiple salutes, and you're not supposed to do the same one twice.
  • Dry humping is considered standing to attention (although this may have been a joke on Mulligan's part).
  • Goblins love trash: playing in it, eating it, doing anything in it.
  • Salt goblins use coins which are the equivalent of $5 as tabletops.
  • They have their own pagoda at the Bloom.

Code of Chivalry[]

Mischief[]

"A true goblin never truths when he might trick. To part the seeing from the being is the greatest goodness goblins get."

Mayhem[]

"A true goblin never does as he's told, never tells as he's done, and never follows a rule, least of all this one."

Sneakery[]

"A true goblin never does what gets seen when he might to have done it where it wouldn't. More secrets is more better to goblins."

Relationships with Other Courts[]

  • Many courts look down on the Goblin Court.
  • The Goblin Court and the Unseelie Court were previously at war.
  • During the Bloom, rumor goes around that the upcoming assault from the Goblin Court on the Seelie Realms may have been averted diplomatically, since the two courts appear to have gotten closer. (As a result, the goblin forces leaving the Seelie border may be reflected by Captain K. P. Hob having to leave the Bloom early.)
  • The Goblin Court previously had a failed political marriage between their own Viscountess Grabalba, and Prince Apollo of the Court of Wonder.
  • The Seafoam Court and The Goblin Court had a shared past in which there was a story about them both once tricking human children into drowning together.
  • The Goblin Court and the Court of Trickery have a steady alliance that can be called upon when needed.
  • Prince Andhera of the Unseelie Court, BINX Choppley of the Court of Craft, K. P. Hob of the Goblin Court, and Delloso de la Rue of the Court of Wonder are very close friends, all four of whom are conspiring to take down the Court of Wonder, particularly Prince Apollo.
  • Hob told Lord Blemish and Lady Boil that if they were to elevate Andhera's permission to next in line for the throne, they may have a friendly ear not just in the Unseelie Court, but also the Court of Craft due to Andhera's relationship with BINX.
  • Viscountess Grabalba spent a "romantic" evening with Fable of the Trickster Court, and expects a proposal any day now.
  • Boil and Blemish set up a political alliance between the Goblin Court and the Seelie Court through Hob's betrothal to Lady Sylmenar.
