The Great Unicorn was the oldest of all the unicorns in Sylvaire, and while it wasn’t their leader politically, was passively revered as a sort of demi-god.

Background[]
It was a member of the Court of Elders, a court formed of the leaders of each of the tribes of Sylvaire. They ruled Sylvaire, and though they worshiped the Goddess of Mystery, they were responsible for destroying her name and 'unmaking' her.
It is presumed that the Great Unicorn died 850 years ago, as no unicorn had been seen since the rise of the Nightmare King when Sylvaire was cursed.
History[]
The Great Unicorn was seen again in by the Bad Kids in the Forest of the Nightmare King. Riz came across the skeleton of a great unicorn in the Temple to the Goddess of Mystery, gazing up at a broken portrait of the goddess. Later, when Kristen prays to the portrait, the unicorn springs forward and stabs her through the heart, presumably having become enslaved by the Nightmare King. Riz followed the footprints of the Unicorn into the forest, and eventually found it in the celestial gallery, leading a huge party of demons.
