The Harvestmen are a fanatical, extremist sect of the followers of Helio whose goal is to bring the apocalypse.
Description[]
The Harvestmen are a conservative, militant, religious cult. They are not demonic or infernal but deal in demonic and infernal magic because they want to bring about the apocalypse.
They are a large organization with followers all over the nation of Solace, but their roots are in Highcourt. Despite ranging across several socio-economic classes and social groups, their membership is kept secret.
Beliefs and practices[]
They believe themselves to be "true" followers of Helio.
They believe that there is too much sin in the world and that any baby born into the world is just another soul being damned.
Their ultimate goal is to incite the apocalypse because they believe that Heaven will win and that Armageddon will finally cleanse the world of sin.
Members wear scarecrow masks over their faces when performing acts on behalf of the cult. They also have a secret handshake that signifies members of the cult.
The Harvest Festival[]
The Harvest Festival is an annual event where the Harvestmen try to indoctrinate new members. Kristen Applebees went every year with her parents, Mac and Donna Applebees.
As part of the festival, attendees stay awake for 20 hours while listening to their talks. At some point, there's a pop quiz. If you pass, you get to go to bed for two hours. If you fail, you have to clean.
History[]
They were hired by Kalvaxus to free him from his binding. They did this through multiple means, including trapping girls in palimpsests, poisoning Arthur Aguefort, and trying to create a hellmouth as an act of Perditional Contradoxy.
