Description[]
The Hungry One is an entity that acts as the antithesis of the Bulb. It is said to devour the souls of the damned, with its stomach acting as a stand-in for Hell in Bulbian theology. The entity has some connection to the Order of the Spinning Star.
The Hungry One is also not unlike the Bulb in that it is a source of great magic and power though it is mindless. Its existence in relation to the Bulb is a point of contention among the church known as the the Prophidian Heresy.

Cumulous Rocks[]
As a mindless entity, The Hungry One can be used simply as a power source, which Cumulous draws from without actually worshiping it.
Bitternight Darknibs[]
In the original pitch for Bitternight, had she actually been used in the season, would have become a warlock of The Hungry One by selling her sugar. In return, Bitternight would have been brought back to life as a revenant and granted magic. Since Bitternight was never used in campaign, these details may not be canon to the story.
Karna Solara[]
Karna actively worships The Hungry One by offering her own rotting flesh and the flesh of those she has killed. Her magic resembles the feeling of hunger and tries to send her victims to The Hungry One as offerings.
