Description[]
The Mountains of Chaos are a harsh range of mountains Northwest of Solace and North of The Baronies in Spyre. They are known for their harsh terrain & difficulty to survive.
Background[]
The Mountains of Chaos are the location of Kalvaxus' lair.
Locations[]
Kalvaxus's Lair[]
The entrance to Kalvaxus' cavern is surrounded by seven spires of stone where the Maidens had been chained in order to be sacrificed. The inside of the enormous cavern contains a humanoid sized entryway that leads into a landing with three rooms leading out it . These are implied to have been the locations of the seven Mirrors of the Eidolons, all of which have since been destroyed.
Pilgrim's Pass[]
Pigrim's Pass was a small village in the Mountains of Chaos that was a resting point for adventurers and pilgrims going further into the Mountains. It now in ruins, with the entire population killed.
The Temple of the Earth Defiant[]
The Temple of the Earth Defiant is holy site crafted by dwarves. It is a site of pilgrimage for many dwarves and other races/peoples associated with the ground, such as Earth Genasi or Goliaths. The reason it's called the Temple of the Earth Defiant is because, despite it being a Dwarven holy site, it's built at the very top of the Mountains of Chaos, high up in the sky, which represents chaos and tempest for Dwarves. Many dwarves go to the temple to build statues and repair the bridges there as a way to remember their past and prove their heroism. The three largest and most permanent statues are of Asha Hammerheart, Yvonna of the Sundering Hills, and Kora Ironbrow. It is powerfully hallowed so that monstrous and evil beings cannot enter it.
Tectonya Karkovnya ran off to the Temple after stealing the Legendarium Extrordia.
