The Neverafter is the campaign setting for Dimension 20's Fifteenth season, Neverafter. It is based on fairytale stories and folk tales.

Locations[]

The Neverafter is made up of a number of kingdoms, regions and villages, populated by characters from different fairytales.

Background[]

The Neverafter was 'created', as it is known, with the start of the Times of Shadows. Prior to this, each fairytale was self-contained; with the start of this period, it was possible for the characters in these fairytales to know about each other and interact with each other. This led to an increasing amount of turmoil and dismay: Jubilee was destroyed, Marienne fell to giants, Greenleigh was conquered by Snowhold, etc.

The 'enemies' of Neverafter view it as a 'cosmic anomaly' and wish to see this merger undone.

The fairytales that make up the setting of the Neverafter would repeat infinitely with minor changes.

Trivia[]

  • According to Aesop, Key & Legend, The Neverafter has been slowly absorbing other realms.
  • The Land of Lullaby was not always a part of The Neverafter, but was absorbed by it.
  • Most of the kingdoms with The Neverafter are linked to one overarching fairytale, such as Reverie being linked to Sleeping Beauty, Greenleigh to the Frog Prince and Elegy to Cinderella.
