The Prophidian Heresy is a theodicy within the Bulbian Church that the Hungry One was as powerful as the Bulb. Princess Jet Rocks reads about it in a large tome she found in Archbishop Fettucina Alfredi's hideout in Comida. The book also included information on the Ramsian Doctrine.

Within the Bulbian Church, the Prophidian Heresy is a belief that the Hungry One, the church's Devil-figure, is as powerful as the Bulb. It is a way to explain why evil existed in the world; if both the Bulb and the Hungry One weren't equally powerful, it would mean that the Bulb was allowing the presence of evil to exist in the world, which couldn't be true. However, this belief carries the implication that the Bulb is less than all-powerful, so it did not last long in the larger halls of the Church, and it was eventually declared a heresy.
History[]
It was a popular belief for a time among Veguit priests, until it was declared a heresy. Afterwards, anyone who wouldn't renounce the doctrine would be executed and killed. One such believer was Bartholomew Brocclepatch, an old archdeacon in Vegetania. Brocclepatch was the one who first granted ecclesiastical orders to a young Belizabeth Brassica. He was killed for his belief in the Prophidian Heresy, which he had tried to make more palatable in order to make it work within the theology of the Church.
