The Red Waste is a region of Spyre. It is made up entirely of barren desert and was once ruled over by the emperor Kalvaxus.

The Red Waste is located in Spyre's West. It is extremely hot and barren. It is the habitat of large insectile creatures that spit acid and a small group of snapping turtle people that have a normal cloaca and a decoy cloaca for storage.
Background[]
The end of the human monarchy that once held power in Solace was brought about by Kalvaxus, the Emperor of the Red Waste, who laid the nation to waste. He and his forces were eventually defeated by Queen Alexandria of Solace, reclaiming Solace.
Lydia Barkrock and her adventuring party went to the Red Waste to retrieve soul gems, gems with powerful beings trapped inside. One of the gems was fractured and the being inside was leaking out. The mission ended with most of the party being killed and Lydia plunging the gem deep into her heart and containing it with her rage to prevent the being from escaping.

After the defeat of Kalvaxus by The Bad Kids, The Maidens travel to The Red Waste to find several dragon eggs that are the offspring of Kalvaxus in order to relocate them to a safe place as part of their Spring Break Quest.
