Dream Monarch - Alive

Nod's oldest sibling, older than time itself. The embodiment of emptiness and void that does not liked to be named. Often manifests as a shadowy silhouette in a suit resembling Pete that saps color from whatever it stands in front of, which acts like the lantern bit of an angler fish to draw people in and devour them. Josefina Gatsby and Hans Fischer both ventured into it and disappeared. Followed Nod back to New York from San Francisco and was devouring Nod in Dreaming before being banished by Pete. Appears momentarily as a hand reaching through planes on David Kugrich's computer as he and Kingston investigate the Gladiator hard drive. Pete finds its name as it erases an inscription in reverse: "Nulla Dies Umquam Memori Vos Eximet Aevo". Subsequently devours the neighborhood they're in, taking Nod with it.

  1. Due to an oversight in production, the token art for the Samurai armor wasn't included in the initial episode. When this was pointed out, editor Amielee Eastin put together a title card after the fact, which was shared via the Dropout Disord, 7 January 2021.
