Tom Thumb is a tiny fighter working against Jack, the Giant-Slayer along with Thumbelina.

Description[]

Tom Thumb is a tiny man, who unlike the others in the Land of Giants, he knows he is actually tiny. Specifically, he is 2 inches tall. Tom wields a needle sword and a button shield, and mechanically has three attacks in battle. Brennan Lee Mulligan implies that Tom might be a champion, though doesn't definitively confirm this.

History[]

In the Land of Giants[]

He and Thumbelina are initially held captive by the others in the town. Mother Timothy Goose is able to get to where the two are being held, and frees them. Once they are freed, Thumbelina takes Tom Thumb to the golden harp, and frees it for the team to take with them. The Golden Goose is then able to pick the two of them up along with the harp and the golden egg to escape the battle.

The Last Wish[]

After being rescued from the Land of Giants, Tom ends up drinking whiskey with Gerard wherein the Frog Prince unloads his marriage problems to the little man. In response, Tom points out that the feelings Gerard thinks Elody is projecting on him is probably what he feels about himself, and that Gerard has the power to take agency to write his own story; that he doesn't have to be the "run away guy" his whole life. Gerard then swears he's going to wake up early to work out with Tom, and then promptly backpedals on it when the time comes to do so. He works out with Henry Hubbard instead. The next day at breakfast, Tom checks Gerard for being disrespectful. Gerard apologizes and asks Tom to wake him up again to work out (which will likely also be dismissed).

The Trials of Baba Yaga[]

He, along with Thumbelina and Henry Hubbard, are forcibly detained by the Baba Yaga while Destiny's Children are tasked to prepare for their dinner. He reassures Gerard that it will all be okay with the words, "Stay dominant."

The Ending of All Things (Part 1) & (Part 2)[]

Tom arrives with the rest of Destiny's Children in the Lines Between to fight the Princesses. When his girlfriend, Thumbelina, is knocked unconscious by Snow White's undead dwarves, he is able to stablize her, and runs toward the Princesses in a rage. He is helped by the newly allied Princess Elody, as she grabs him, and takes him into the heart of the battle, riding frog Gerard the rest of the way. The first thing he is able to do in battle besides running to the action is give a goodberry to the fallen Mira, bringing her back into the fight. Aesop also summons a cat to act as a steed for the mighty warrior. With his cat, he, along with Ylfa and eventually Cinderella, are able to block the Stepmother as she tries to attack the party. The Stepmother promptly devours him.
