"Wherever you are Rat Jesus, I love you!" ― Wally Kugrich
Wally Kugrich, one of Kugrash's sons, is a 38 year old MTA worker in New York City. He is kind, hard working, and accepting, and is able to see the Unsleeping City seemingly without having been inducted into it.

At the beginning of the series, Wally is happily employed by the MTA. He is able to see some of the magical creatures that live in the subway tunnels, including Kugrash, who he believes is Rat Jesus. He tries to talk to Kugrash and does not get a response, but leaves out baskets of cheese and notes for him.
In Borough of Dreams, Wally is shown to have been promoted to conductor, and is driving the train that the team takes to Nod.
Wally is very excited to meet Rat Jesus in Nod, and when Kugrash tries to explain that he is actually Wally's dad, Wally assumes that Kugrash is a different person to Bruce Kugrich and is his biological father but did not raise him. When he finds that Bruce was turned into a rat, he is very touched that the notes he got from 'Rat Jesus' were from his dad the whole time, and suggests that he could be turned into a rat as well. He is also very excited to meet 'Mr March', and he and Ricky immediately become best friends.
Kugrash starts staying at Wally's house, and they grow a lot closer. Kugrash charms a stray dog to come live with Wally, which Wally names 'Dad', after his dad . While this is initially confusing, it ultimately saves Christmas as he is able to hide the fact that Kugrash is with him when he visits David's house without having to lie, by saying, "I have two dogs, and one of them is Dad".
During the battle in Times Square when Kugrash's consciousness is expanding, he asks Sofia to hang out with Wally so he won't be lonely. Sofia visits Wally after the battle to explain what happens, and then places Santa Claus's hat on Wally's head. Wally appears to be quite pleased to be the new Santa but is concerned about the logistics.
