Appearance

Wendell is a very small, lanky kid with messy hair and dark skin. He has braces; he wears glasses, and oversized clothing under his uniform for the video store in baggy jeans and some Chucks. He appears to be trying to keep himself small.

Personality

Wendell's favorite movies are Weird Science, The Fast and the Furious and Real Genius. Wendell has other nerdy interests, like playing DOTA and DOTA 2 and anime.

Despite Dave's Video World closing, Wendell still wants to work his full hours at the store, and rebuffs his brothers' insistence that he play hooky. This seems in part because he wants to see his crush, Liv Skyler, but also because of Wendell's work ethic and sense of responsibility to his job and the store.

Wendell is at first reluctant and scared to leave Lake Elsinore to go to college at University of California, Irvine about five hours away. He says this is because of all the Lee's Sandwiches (a fast-food chain) and the Spectrum (an Irvine shopping mall), but it seems that he is actually just reluctant to leave his family.
