Highlights[]
- Ally pitches some sort of dramatic reenactment of the events in the episode akin to "Drunk History," and Brennan confirms there have been conversations from production on how to achieve this. This ends up being the story board animations seen throughout the season.
- The gang talks yet again about loving Ify's move of having Vic talk to Wendell through his reflection, and how that's thematically appropriate for action movies.
- The table also touches on the fun gender dynamics at play for the players, and what one would do if they switched bodies to a different gender (mostly touch themselves).
- Wendell's reference to Jumanji is the remake, and he's never seen or heard of the original.
- Izzy thinks that Paula was so desperate for a life shake-up that she is conflating the movie for what needs to be done, and is now committed to avenging Cosmo.
- Brennan puts his aviators on just as the episode is wrapping up, to the delight of the players.
- Jacob pitches that kill counts be displayed on screen, and that he'd like to have the highest kill count ever in Dimension 20 history.
- Ally jokes that Dang/Greg's kill count can't beat their character Kristen Applebees's kill count from Fantasy High: Senior Year, which they joke was just filmed. Brennan tells Beardsley not to do this (as it is obviously a joke!)
This Adventuring Party Has Utility: Leveling Up[]
- The group can now purchase collective group abilities. The players can purchase these abilities now, or bank their tokens towards unlocking them. If they only unlock the first part of a skill, they can still use tokens later to unlock the rest of the skill.
- Players can also spend two tokens for a character ability from character creation or spend two tokens to just permanently minus one from difficulties for an entire skill.
- Now that everyone has "blown up" at least one skill to a d6, the gang has unlocked the ability to purchase:
- La Familia: For the cost of 8 collective turbo tokens, each player can take one of three abilities. If the group collectively spends 15 turbo tokens, each player now has all three abilities. Each ability requires the character to be present with the person they are trying to use the ability for. They are:
- You can roll Tough on someone else's behalf once per episode and take the injury on their behalf if you fail.
- You can spend tokens for other people at a one-to-one exchange rate rather than two-to-one.
- Once per episode, you can let someone else use one of your skill die values (this was originally pitched as costing a token to do so, but Brennan modifies it in the episode to not cost a token).
- Criminal Conspiracy: For the cost of 8 collective turbo tokens, each player can take one of three abilities. If the group collectively spends 15 turbo tokens, each player now has all three abilities:
- If you're in a new location, you can produce a single useful item.
- You can add your Tech die to a Sneak check once per episode.
- You can make a Hot check in response to the first attack of an encounter to try and dissuade the opponent and end the attack before it starts, effectively intimidating your opponent out of the fight.
- La Familia: For the cost of 8 collective turbo tokens, each player can take one of three abilities. If the group collectively spends 15 turbo tokens, each player now has all three abilities. Each ability requires the character to be present with the person they are trying to use the ability for. They are:
The Level Up[]
- The group spends 8 collective tokens to unlock La Familia. The players select:
- Jacob, Rekha, & Ally: Once per episode you can let someone else use one of your skill die values.
- Ify & Izzy: Rolling Tough on someone else's behalf.
- Alex: Lending at a one-to-one rate versus two-to-one for other players.
- The group finds out in this Adventuring Party that any tokens not used by the end of the episode disappear, meaning they were right to spend their tokens to unlock this ability.
