He is a Jewish, magical creature of the Waking World with the ability to pass through stones and bricks.
Background[]
Willy is not a true golem and used to be a man and has a soul. He was a resident of Williamsburg who gave his life to protect his neighborhood long ago. He tells Kingston Brown, the Vox Populi, that he's known some of the Voxes who came before him, including one which he knew when he was still human.

We first meet him in Episode 5 when Kingston comes to ask him about Lazarus and Nod. Willy believes Lazarus is in reference to Emma Lazarus and begins to admire the Statue of Liberty.

In Episode 10, we find Willy deactivated in the loft where Priya's art show was being held. He is reactivated by a slap from Misty and assists by punching open the door and allowing the civilians to escape. He and Misty make out afterwards.

In Episode 13, Willy texts Kingston about his weekly poker game. Buddy the excrement elemental is going to be there and the Dream Team decide to make an appearance. Willy does extremely well at Poker.

Kingston invites Willy to the meeting on Staten Island to discuss the Lisowski Chest and the state of magic in New York. Willy joins Kingston, Iga, Esther, Ricky, JJ, and Lowell Masters at the ferry to Staten Island, where Kingston notices that Willy is moving somewhat slower than usual.
Of Rats & Dragons[]
Kingston goes to Willy's apartment and discovers that he's been deanimated with a look of terror on his face. After being reanimated by Rabbi Mike Salters, Willy reveals that when patrolling Williamsburg he felt one of the Hebrew characters on the roof of his mouth, that is key to animating him, being scrubbed away by an unknown force. (Which Kingston recognizes as Null).
